Official abstract text for this publication.

A method, system, GUI, apparatus, and computer readable media for enabling a customer to access both an artist media file as well as the associated artist are provided. An artist profile may be hosted on, for example, a web site, SMS/MMS gateway, and a WAP site. A media file may be received from the artist along with artist contact links and may be uploaded to the artist's profile. A request to access the media file and/or the artist may be received from a customer. The customer may then be enabled to access the media file and/or artist. The system of claim 1 , wherein the subscription and purchase management system is further configured to provide the customer access to the artist by messaging over at least one of the communication links. 3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the subscription and purchase management system is further configured to provide the customer access to the artist by forwarding artist access to another customer over at least one of the one or more communication links. 4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the subscription and purchase management system is further configured to provide the customer access to the artist by telephonic communications with the artist. 5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the subscription and purchase management system is further configured to provide the customer access to the artist by adding the artist to social media. 6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the subscription and purchase management system is further configured to block the artist. 7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the subscription and purchase management system is further configured to provide the customer access to the artist by ranking the artist. 8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the subscription and purchase management system is further configured to provide the customer access to the artist by access to a webpage of the artist. 9. A method comprising: providing a graphical user interface (GUI) including: a first display area selectable to obtain information to be included in an artist profile capable of being displayed on a mobile device through any of a transcoded service communications over a wireless application protocol (WAP) network or a short message service (SMS)/multimedia messaging service (MMS) network; a second display area configured to display a first link to the artist profile; hosting, on a server computer system, the artist profile associated with an artist, the artist profile including one or more second links; receiving and storing in a file database, a list of media files associated with the artist; uploading the media files and the one or more second links to the artist profile; and providing a customer access to the one or more second links in response to customer selection of the first link from the artist profile, the customer access including at least establishing a communication connection between the customer and a hosting entity and thereafter updating a customer account to reflect the customer access, wherein the access is provided via at least one of a website, a short message service (SMS)/multimedia messaging service (MMS) gateway, or a wireless application protocol (WAP) site. 10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the providing customer access includes a customer requesting access to the artist. 11. The method of claim 9 , wherein the providing customer access includes messaging over the one or more second links. 12. The method of claim 9 , wherein the providing customer access includes forwarding the customer access to the artist to another customer over the one or more second links. 13. The method of claim 9 , wherein the providing customer access includes telephonic communications with the artist. 14. The method of claim 9 , wherein the providing customer access includes adding the artist to social media. 15. The method of claim 9 further includes blocking the artist. 16. The method of claim 9 , wherein the providing customer access includes ranking the artist. 17.
