The present invention relates to Imidazole Derivatives of Formula (I), and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein A, B, Y, R 1 and R 2 are as defined herein. The present invention also relates to compositions comprising at least one Imidazole Derivative, and methods of using the Imidazole Derivatives for inhibiting CYP450 3A. Inhibition of CYP450 3A can be used to improve the pharmacokinetics of a drug that is metabolized by CYP450 3A4.

What is claimed is: 1. The compound, having the formula (Ic); or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein: n is 1 or 2; R 3 is selected from H, halo and C 1 -C 6 alkyl; R 4 is selected from H, halo and C 1 -C 6 alkyl; each occurrence of R a is independently H, methoxy, halo or methyl; and each occurrence of R b is independently H, methoxy, halo or methyl. 2. The compound of claim 1 , wherein n is 1. 3. The compound of claim 1 , wherein n is 2. 4. A compound having the structure: or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 5. A pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of a compound of claim 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
