Embodiments of a fork brace for a bicycle are disclosed herein. In one aspect, a brace portion is integrally formed along with two tubular fork members and an overlay fits in a mating relationship with the brace portion to create a unitary, tubular brace.

What we claim is: 1. A suspension component comprising: a brace including a brace portion, said brace portion configured to be disposed between first and second tubular fork members disposed one at each end of said brace, said first and second tubular fork members comprising a portion of said suspension component; and an overlay designed to fit in a mating relationship with said brace portion, said overlay coupled to said brace portion to form a unitary tubular brace. 2. The suspension component of claim 1 , further comprising: a foam disposed between said overlay and said brace portion. 3. The suspension component of claim 1 , wherein said brace portion includes an overlap, said overlap configured for mating said brace portion with said overlay. 4. The suspension component of claim 1 , further comprising: a threaded member disposed between said overlay and said brace portion. 5. The suspension component of claim 1 , further comprising: rivets disposed mechanically coupling said overlay and said brace portion. 6. The suspension component of claim 1 , further comprising: an adhesive disposed between said overlay and said brace portion to form an adhesive connection between said overlay and said brace portion. 7. The suspension component of claim 6 , wherein said adhesive is selected from the group consisting of: epoxies and cyanoacrylates.
