Means for solving the problems The thermoplastic resin composition (X1) of the present invention comprises (A1), (B1), (C1), and optionally (D1) below: 1 to 90 wt % of an isotactic polypropylene (A1); 9 to 98 wt % of a propylene/ethylene/α-olefin copolymer (B1) containing 45 to 89 mol % of propylene-derived structural units, 10 to 25 mol % of ethylene-derived structural units, and optionally, 0 to 30 mol % of C 4 -C 20 α-olefin-derived structural units (a1); 1 to 80 wt % of a styrene-based elastomer (C1); and 0 to 70 wt % of an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer (D1) whose density is in the range of 0.850 to 0.910 g/cm 3 , wherein (A1)+(B1)+(C1)+(D1)=100 wt %.

First claim

The invention claimed is: 1. A material for foam (X7), the material being a composition comprising a propylene-based polymer (B7) whose melting point is lower than 100° C. or not observed when measured with a differential scanning calorimeter, and the composition further comprising 1 to 1900 parts by weight of an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer (C7) containing 75 to 95 mol % of ethylene-derived structural units and 5 to 25 mol % of C 3 -C 20 α-olefin-derived structural units, wherein the total of ethylene-units and α-olefin-units is 100 mol %, and/or 1 to 1900 parts by weight of an ethylene/polar monomer copolymer (D7), relative to 100 parts by weight of the total of propylene-based polymer (B7) and an optional propylene-based polymer (A7) whose melting point is 100° C. or higher as measured with a differential scanning calorimeter. 2. The material for foam (X7) according to claim 1 wherein the propylene-based polymer (B7) is a copolymer of propylene and at least one C 2 -C 20 α-olefin other than propylene, and the melting point of (B7) is lower than 100° C. or not observed when measured with a differential scanning calorimeter. 3. The material for foam (X7) according to claim 1 wherein the material for foam (X7) is a composition comprising 30 to 100 parts by weight of the propylene-based polymer (B7); and 0 to 70 parts by weight of a propylene-based polymer (A7) whose melting point is 100° C. or higher as measured with a differential scanning calorimeter, provided that the total of (B7) and (A7) is 100 parts by weight. 4. The material for foam (X7) according to claim 1 , wherein the propylene-based polymer (B7) is a propylene/ethylene/α-olefin copolymer (B7-1) containing 45 to 92 mol % of propylene-derived structural units, 5 to 25 mol % of ethylene-derived structural units, and 3 to 30 mol % of C 4 -C 20 α-olefin-derived structural units, provided that the total of the propylene-derived structural units, the ethylene-derived structural units, and the C 4 -C 20 α-olefin-derived structural units is 100 mol %. 5. The material for foam (X7) according to claim 1 further comprising a foaming agent (E7). 6. The material for foam (X7) according to claim 1 , wherein the ethylene/α-olefin copolymer (C7) is ethylene/1-butene copolymer. 7. A foam obtained from the material for foam (X7) according to claim 1 . 8. A foam obtained from the material for foam (X7) according to claim 1 obtained by heat treatment or radiation treatment of the material for foam (X7) according to claim 1 . 9. The foam according to claim 8 , wherein the foam is obtained by heat treatment of the material for foam (X7) placed in a mold. 10. A foam obtained by secondary compression of the foam according to claim 9 . 11. A foam obtained from a material for foam (X7) comprising a propylene-based polymer (B7) whose melting point is lower than 100° C. or not observed when measured with a differential scanning calorimeter, the foam having a gel content of 70% or more and a specific gravity of 0.6 or less. 12. A laminate comprising a layer comprising the foam according to claim 7 and a layer made of at least one material selected from the group consisting of polyolefin, polyurethane, rubber, leather, and artificial leather. 13. Footwear comprising a foam or a laminate comprising a layer comprising a foam and a layer made of at least one material selected from the group consisting of polyolefin, polyurethane, rubber, leather, and artificial leather, the foam being obtained from a material for foam (X7) comprising a propylene-based polymer (B7) whose melting point is lower than 100° C. or not observed when measured with a differential scanning calorimeter. 14. A footwear component comprising a foam or a laminate comprising a layer comprising a foam and a layer made of at least one material selected from the group consisting of polyolefin, polyurethane, rubber, leather, and artificial leather, the foam being obtained from a material for foam (X7) comprising a propylene-based polymer (B7) whose melting point is lower than 100° C. or not observed when measured with a differential scanning calorimeter. 15. The footwear component according to claim 14 , wherein the footwear component is a mid sole, an inner sole, or a sole.
