Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

The liquid material ejector has a liquid material supply port through which the liquid material is supplied, a nozzle for ejecting the liquid material, a valve block having a metering bore to be filled with the ejected liquid material and a liquid material supply channel communicating with the liquid material supply port, a selector valve having a first channel for allowing communication between the metering bore and the liquid material supply channel and a second channel for allowing communication between the metering bore and the nozzle, a plunger advancing and retracting in the metering bore, a plunger driving section for driving the plunger, a valve driving section for driving the selector valve, and a transmission section for transmitting driving power from the valve driving section to the selector valve. The plunger driving section, the valve driving section, and the valve block are arranged successively in the longitudinal direction.

What is claimed is: 1. A liquid material ejector comprising: a liquid material supply port through which a liquid material is supplied; a nozzle for ejecting the liquid material; a valve block having a metering bore to be filled with the liquid material and a liquid material supply channel communicating with the liquid material supply port; a selector valve having a first channel for allowing communication between the metering bore and the liquid material supply channel and a second channel for allowing communication between the metering bore and the nozzle; a plunger advancing and retracting in the metering bore; a plunger driver having an actuator for driving the plunger; a valve driver having an actuator for driving the selector valve; and a joint portion which connects the plunger and the plunger driver, wherein the plunger driver and the valve driver are arranged in the longitudinal direction, wherein the liquid material ejector further comprising a fixing member to fix the plunger driver and a slide rail capable of moving the joint portion in the vertical direction, wherein the actuator of the plunger driver having an actuator rod which is advanced and retracted, wherein the joint portion connects the actuator rod and the plunger, wherein the plunger driver consists of one plunger driver, wherein the valve driver consists of one valve driver, wherein the valve block has a valve bore communicating with the liquid material supply channel, the nozzle, and the metering bore, and wherein the selector valve is a cylindrical rotary valve which is rotatable while sliding in contact with an inner wall of the valve bore, the first channel is a recessed groove formed in a circumferential surface of the cylindrical rotary valve, and a second channel is a through-bore diametrically penetrating the cylindrical rotary valve. 2. The liquid material ejector according to claim 1 , further comprising a base to which the valve block, the plunger driver and the valve driver are integrally arranged. 3. The liquid material ejector according to claim 2 , wherein the slide rail is fixedly disposed on the base and arranged along the longitudinal direction of the base. 4. The liquid material ejector according to claim 3 , wherein the selector valve is a rotary valve. 5. A liquid application apparatus having a head in which a plurality of liquid material ejectors according to claim 1 are arranged side by side in a closely adjacent relation in the lateral direction. 6. A liquid application apparatus having a head in which a plurality of liquid material ejectors according to claim 2 are arranged side by side in a closely adjacent relation in the lateral direction. 7. A liquid application apparatus having a head in which a plurality of liquid material ejectors according to claim 3 are arranged side by side in a closely adjacent relation in the lateral direction. 8. A liquid application apparatus having a head in which a plurality of liquid material ejectors according to claim 4 are arranged side by side in a closely adjacent relation in the lateral direction. 9. The liquid material ejector according to claim 2 , further comprising: a coupling for connecting the liquid material supply port and a liquid material reservoir, wherein the base is disposed in back of the valve block, the liquid material supply port and the coupling are disposed in front of the valve block, and the base is configured to be wider than the valve block, the plunger driver, and the valve driver. 10. A liquid application apparatus having a head in which a plurality of liquid material ejectors according to claim 9 are arranged side by side in a closely adjacent relation in the lateral direction. 11. The liquid material ejector according to claim 2 , wherein the base has an elongated shape. 12. The liquid material ejector according to claim 1 , wherein the joint portion connects the plunger and one end of the actuator rod. 13. The liquid material ejector according to claim 1 , wherein the joint portion is connected to the slide rail, wherein the actuator rod and the plunger are integrally connected by the joint portion, wherein the actuator rod, the joint portion, and the plunger are arranged in the vertical direction, and wherein when the actuator rod advances the plunger advances in the same direction and when the actuator rod retreats the plunger retreats in the same direction. 14. The liquid material ejector according to claim 1 , wherein the one valve driver consists of one actuator that is connected to the cylindrical rotary valve.
