Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Methods and systems for automatically providing dynamic content for facilitating a transaction are described herein. An online marketplace is accessed by a client device over a network. A user identifier associated with the client device is passed to a payment service provider via a merchant system associated with the online market place. Dynamic content is generated by the payment service provider in response to the user identifier and subsequently served to the client device over the network.

What is claimed is: 1. A user device comprising: a non-transitory memory storing instructions; and one or more hardware processors communicatively coupled to the non-transitory memory and configured to execute the instructions to cause the user device to perform operations comprising: accessing an online marketplace over a network, wherein the online marketplace is provided by a merchant system; passing a user identifier from the user device to the merchant system over the network, wherein the user identifier is associated with a user account maintained by a service provider system; communicating with the merchant system over the network to receive dynamic content from the service provider system based on the user identifier; receiving the dynamic content at the user device over the network from the merchant system, wherein the dynamic content is determined by the service provider system based on the user identifier and wherein the dynamic content is received by the user device without requiring a user of the user device to actively engage with the service provider system; and causing a display to display the dynamic content in a browser window provided by a browser application associated with the user device. 2. The user device of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise communicating user information to the merchant system over the network. 3. The user device of claim 2 , wherein the user information comprises online shopping activity. 4. The user device of claim 2 , wherein the user information comprises browsing information. 5. The user device of claim 1 , wherein accessing the online marketplace is in response to a user action. 6. The user device of claim 1 , wherein the dynamic content comprises advertising information. 7. The user device of claim 1 , wherein the dynamic content comprises an image. 8. The user device of claim 1 , wherein the dynamic content comprises rating information. 9. The user device of claim 1 , wherein the dynamic content comprises marketing information. 10. A system comprising: a non-transitory memory storing instructions; and one or more hardware processors communicatively coupled to the non-transitory memory and configured to execute the instructions to cause the system to perform operations comprising: accessing an online marketplace over a network, wherein the online marketplace is provided by a merchant system; passing a user identifier from the system to the merchant system over the network, wherein the user identifier is associated with a user account maintained by a service provider system; communicating with the merchant system over the network to receive dynamic content from the service provider system based on the user identifier; receiving the dynamic content at the system over the network from the merchant system, wherein the dynamic content is determined by the service provider system based on the user identifier and wherein the dynamic content is received by the system without requiring a user of the system to actively engage with the service provider system; and causing a display to display the dynamic content in a browser window provided by a browser application associated with the system. 11. The system of claim 10 , wherein the operations further comprise communicating user information to the merchant system over the network, wherein the user information comprises online shopping activity. 12. The system of claim 11 , wherein the user information comprises online shopping activity. 13. The system of claim 11 , wherein the user information further comprises browsing information. 14. The system of claim 10 , wherein accessing the online marketplace is in response to a user action. 15. A computer implemented method, the method comprising: accessing, by a computing system, an online marketplace over a network, wherein the online marketplace is provided by a merchant system; passing, by the computing system, a user identifier to the merchant system over the network, wherein the user identifier is associated with a user account maintained by a service provider system; communicating, by computing system, with the merchant system over the network to receive dynamic content from the service provider system based on the user identifier; receiving, by the computing system, the dynamic content over the network from the merchant system, wherein the dynamic content is determined by the service provider system based on the user identifier and wherein the dynamic content is received by the computing system without requiring a user of the computing system to actively engage with the service provider system; and causing, by the computing system, a display to display the dynamic content in a browser window provided by a browser application associated with the computing system. 16. The method of claim 15 , wherein the dynamic content comprises at least one of an image, rating information, or marketing information. 17. The method of claim 16 , further comprising communicating user information to the merchant system over the network. 18. The method of claim 17 , wherein the dynamic content is received in response to communicating the user information. 19. The method of claim 18 , wherein the user information comprises online shopping activity associated with the user. 20. The method of claim 18 , wherein the user information comprises a cookie.
