Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A digital template animation kit is provided for generating a three-dimensional animation corresponding to a captured two-dimensional template. In embodiments, a template animation kit includes a template portfolio having template designs for coloring in by a user. A computing device executing a template animation kit application, such as a digital fashion portfolio kit application, may then capture an image of the user-completed drawings on each template design. In some embodiments, capturing an image of a template design includes identifying a coloring figure identifier, an upper page guide identifier, and a lower page guide identifier. In further embodiments, the captured images of two-dimensional template designs are applied to three dimensional digital templates for animation within a digital template animation environment.

First claim

The invention claimed is: 1. A template animation kit comprising: a template portfolio comprising at least one template page, the at least one template page comprising at least one template design, a coloring figure identifier, and at least one page guide identifier; and a template animation kit application that, when executed on a computing device, generates a digital template animation environment in response to identifying the at least one coloring figure identifier, wherein the digital template animation environment incorporates a captured image of the at least one template design, and further wherein the captured image is captured based at least in part on the at least one page guide identifier. 2. The template animation kit of claim 1 , further comprising an activation feature, wherein the template animation kit application is enabled in response to identifying the activation feature and the coloring figure identifier. 3. The template animation kit of claim 1 , wherein the captured image is generated based on the template animation kit application instructing a camera coupled to the computing device to capture an image of the at least one template design. 4. The template animation kit of claim 3 , wherein the captured image is generated based on aligning at least a portion of a camera view of the camera coupled to the computing device with at least one page guide identifier associated with the at least one template design. 5. The template animation kit of claim 1 , wherein incorporating the captured image of the at least one template design comprises animating the digital template with at least a portion of the captured image on a display of the computing device, wherein the animating comprises permitting a user to change a view of the digital template from a first perspective view to a second perspective view of the digital template animation environment. 6. A template animation kit comprising: a template animation kit having at least one template page, wherein the at least one template page comprises a template design configured to receive a user's markings and a coloring figure identifier; and a template animation kit application that generates, via a computing device, a three-dimensional digital template comprises a digital template animation environment in response to identifying the coloring figure identifier, wherein the three-dimensional digital template incorporates a visual appearance of the user's markings. 7. The template animation kit of claim 6 , further comprising an activation feature associated with the template animation kit, wherein the template animation kit application is enabled in response to identifying the activation feature. 8. The template animation kit of claim 6 , wherein the template design comprises a perspective view of a coloring figure. 9. The template animation kit of claim 6 , wherein the digital template animation environment animates the three-dimensional digital template. 10. The template animation kit of claim 6 , wherein the template page comprises an upper page guide identifier and a lower page guide identifier. 11. The template animation kit of claim 10 , wherein capturing an image of the template page comprises aligning at least a portion of a camera view with the coloring figure identifier, the upper page guide identifier of the template page, and the lower page guide identifier of the template page. 12. The template animation kit of claim 11 , wherein the image is automatically corrected by a feature associated with the template animation kit application. 13. The template animation kit of claim 10 , wherein aligning at least a portion of a camera view the coloring figure identifier, the upper page guide identifier of the template page, and the lower page guide identifier of the template page comprises aligning a visible portion of the camera view via the display of the computing device with the template page. 14. The template animation kit of claim 13 , wherein the image of the template page is automatically captured upon aligning the at least a portion of a camera view with the coloring figure identifier, the upper page guide identifier of the template page, and the lower page guide identifier of the template page. 15. A system for generating, by a template animation kit application executed on a computing device, a three-dimensional digital template corresponding to a captured two-dimensional template design, comprising: a first template page comprising a first two-dimensional template design and a first coloring figure identifier; a second template page comprising a second two-dimensional template design and a second coloring figure identifier; and a template animation kit application that receives a first captured image of the first template page and a second captured image of the second template page, wherein the template animation kit application extracts from the first captured image, via the computing device, a first portion of a user's markings the first template page, the first portion corresponding to at least a portion of the first two-dimensional template design, wherein the template animation kit application extracts from the second captured image, via the computing device, a second portion of the second template page, the second portion corresponding to at least a portion of the second two-dimensional template design, wherein template animation kit application applies the extracted first portion and the extracted second portion to a three-dimensional digital template corresponding to the at least one coloring figure identifier of the first template page and the at least one coloring figure identifier of the second template page and wherein the template animation kit application generates, via the computing device, a digital template animation environment comprising the three-dimensional digital template. 16. The system of claim 15 , wherein the three-dimensional digital template comprises a visual appearance including a first amount of user markings associated with the first two-dimensional template design and a second amount of user markings associated with the second two-dimensional template design. 17. The system of claim 15 , further comprising an activation, wherein three-dimensional digital template further corresponds to the activation feature.
