Official abstract text for this publication.
A novel tubular or profile shapes of co-extruded multilayer polymers. These materials contain tens to thousands of layers of micro- to nano-polymer layers. These new shapes contain contiguous layers of milli- to nano-polymer layers in three dimensions and these contiguous layers may be twisted or turned to further expand the potential microlayer geometries.

What is claimed is: 1. A multilayered extrusion product comprising a tubular microlayered composite, wherein said tube comprises contiguous layers without weld lines and has a shape selected from profile, polygonal, annular, diamond, rombus, pentagon, and hexagon, and wherein one or more layers of said tubular microlayered composite contain fibers or particles. 2. A multilayered extrusion product according to claim 1 , comprising two compositions wherein said tube layers of composition A and composition B alternate in a pattern A-B-A-B-A-B or A-B-B-A-B-B-A-B-B. 3. A multilayered extrusion product according to claim 1 , comprising two or more compositions wherein said tubular composite is hollow. 4. A multilayered extrusion product according to claim 1 , comprising two or more compositions wherein said tubular composite comprises a solid core. 5. A multilayered extrusion product according to claim 1 , comprising two or more compositions wherein said tubular composite comprises a skin layer.
