Example embodiments of the present disclosure include a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a computer-implemented method for providing an interactive graphical user interface (GUI) on an interactive mirror display. Consistent with some embodiments, the method may include identifying an item based on an identification device affixed to the item and accessing product information for the item from a product database. The method may further include generating a recommendation for an additional item related to the item. The method may further include generating the interactive GUI using the product information and the recommendation and causing the interactive GUI to be presented on the interactive mirror display.

What is claimed is: 1. A system comprising: an interactive mirror display unit configured to operate in two modes of operation, in a first mode of operation, the interactive mirror display unit is configured to function as a reflective mirror surface, in a second mode of operation, the interactive mirror display unit is configured to function as a touch display surface operable to present content and receive user input while maintaining reflective qualities; a controller communicatively coupled to the interactive mirror display unit, the controller comprising one or more processors configured to perform operations comprising: identifying a first item based on an identifier obtained by a reader component from an identification device affixed to the first item, the identification device including a readable medium storing the information; accessing from an inventory system, an item record associated with the first item using the identifier, the item record including product information describing the first item; accessing, in response to detecting an individual being proximate to the interactive mirror display unit, a user account maintained by a network-based marketplace, the user account comprising user data describing the individual; generating a recommendation for a second item related to the first item, the second item being represented by an additional item record in the inventory system; generating an interactive graphical user interface (GUI), the interactive graphical user interface including the product information and the recommendation for the second item; causing the interactive GUI to be presented on the interactive mirror display unit in conjunction with a reflection of the individual, the causing of the interactive GUI to be presented including providing a set of computer-readable instructions to the interactive mirror display unit that causes the interactive mirror display unit to transition from the first mode of operation in which the interactive mirror display unit functions as the reflective mirror surface to the second mode of operation in which the interactive mirror display unit functions as the touch display surface operable to receive user input and present the interactive GUI; identifying, from the user data of the individual, a set of items owned by the individual; selecting a third item from the set of items owned by the individual; causing the interactive mirror display to present, in conjunction with the presentation of the interactive GUI, an image of the third item digitally superimposed over the reflection of the individual; receiving, via the interactive GUI, use case information that specifies an intended use for at least one of the first second, or third item; and adjusting one or more environmental settings based on the use case information, the one or more environmental settings specifying a configuration of one or more elements in an environment in which the interactive mirror display unit is present, the one or more environmental settings including at least one of a light setting or a background setting. 2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the generating of the recommendation for the second item is based on the user profile data. 3. The system of claim 2 , wherein the second item is selected based on at least one of the group comprising preferences of the individual, previous items purchased by the individual, items owned by the individual, items for which the individual has indicated interest, and interests of the individual. 4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the generating of the recommendation for the second item is based on a combination of user preferences, a user transaction history, and editorially specified suggestions of a retailer. 5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the generating of the recommendation for the second item includes identifying the second item from the inventory system based on at least one of a color, a price, a style, or a brand of the item. 6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise: receiving user input entered via the interactive GUI, the user input including a request for the second item; and transmitting a message to a mobile device of a sales associate, the message including the request for the second item. 7. The system of claim 6 , wherein the user input is entered using a display element presented within the interactive GUI in conjunction with a display of the recommendation for the second item. 8. The system of claim 1 , wherein: identifying the individual; accessing contact information associated with the individual; and communicating using the contact information, a message to the individual, the message including the recommendation for the second item. 9. The system of claim 1 , wherein the reader component obtains the identifier by performing operations comprising: transmitting interrogator data to the identification device affixed to the first item; and receiving a response from the identification device, the response including the identifier. 10. The system of claim 1 , wherein the identification device is a radio frequency identification (RFID) device. 11. The system of claim 1 , wherein the interactive GUI includes a display of an image, a product description, and a price for each of the first item and the second item. 12. A method comprising: identifying, using a reader component coupled to an interactive mirror display, a first item based on an identifier obtained from an identification device affixed to the first item, the identification device including a readable medium storing the identifier; accessing, from an inventory system, an item record associated with the first item, the item record including an image of the first item and product information describing the first item; generating a recommendation for a second item related to the first item, the second item being represented by an additional item record in the inventory system; generating an interactive graphical user interface (GUI), the interactive GUI including the product information and the recommendation for the second item; causing the interactive GUI to be presented to on the interactive mirror display, the causing of the interactive GUI to be presented including providing a set of computer-readable instructions to the interactive mirror display that causes the interactive mirror display to transition, in response to detecting a presence of an individual, from a first mode of operation in which the interactive mirror display functions as a reflective mirror surface to a second mode of operation in which the interactive mirror display functions as a touch display surface operable to present the interactive GUI and receive user input; accessing, in response to detecting the individual being proximate to the interactive mirror display, a user account maintained by a network-based marketplace, the user account comprising user data describing the individual; identifying, from the user data of the individual, a set of items owned by the individual; selecting a third item from the set of items owned by the individual; causing the interactive mirror display to present, in conjunction with the presentation of the interactive GUI, an image of the third item digitally superimposed over a reflection of the individual; receiving, via the interactive GUI, use case information that specifies an intended use for at least one of the first second, or third item; and adjusting one or more environmental settings based on the use case information, the one or more environmental settings specifying a configuration of one or more elements in an environment in which the interactive mirror disp
