The present invention relates to immunoglobulins that bind FcγRIIb+ cells and coengage the antigen on the cell's surface and an FcγRIIb on the cell's surface, methods for their generation, and methods for using the immunoglobulins.

We claim: 1. A protein comprising an Fc variant comprising at least amino acid modifications S267E and L328F as compared to a parent Fc polypeptide, wherein numbering is according to the EU index according to Kabat. 2. A pharmaceutical composition comprising protein according to claim 1 , and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. 3. A protein comprising an Fc variant comprising at least amino acid modifications S267E and L328F as compared to a parent Fc polypeptide, wherein numbering is according to the EU index according to Kabat, wherein said Fc variant has increased binding affinity to FcγRIIb as compared to the parent Fc polypeptide.
