A staple-less binding unit including a pair of upper and lower teeth binds a sheet bundle which is discharged to an intermediate processing tray by a sheet discharge portion and whose one edge abuts against a rear edge stopper. A control portion switches a binding mode of the staple-less binding unit that implements the binding process on the sheet bundle in a first binding mode of binding the sheet bundle without any staple such that the pair of upper and lower teeth bite across an edge of the sheet bundle and in a second binding mode of binding the sheet bundle without any staple such that the pair of upper and lower teeth do not bite across any edge of the sheet bundle.

What is claimed is: 1. A sheet processing apparatus, comprising: a sheet supporting portion on which sheets are supported; and a sheet binding unit having a first member and a second member, and binding a sheet bundle supported on the sheet supporting portion by clamping and deforming a binding area of the sheet bundle by the first and second members, the binding area including an edge of the sheet bundle and formed such that a longitudinal direction thereof inclines with respect to the edge of the sheet bundle. 2. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the first and second members clamp and deform the edge of the sheet bundle when at least one of the first and second members moves toward the other one of the first and second members in a thickness direction of the sheet bundle from a separation state in which the first and second members are separated. 3. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising a positioning mechanism configured to be able to set a relative position between the sheet binding unit and the sheet bundle on the sheet supporting portion such that the relative position is set at a position where the edge of the sheet bundle is deformed in a thickness direction of the sheet bundle by being clamped by the first and second members. 4. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the sheet binding unit binds a corner of the sheet bundle, wherein the first and second members form a plurality of concave-convex dents arrayed to incline with respect to the edge of the sheet bundle on the sheet bundle by deforming the sheet bundle in the thickness direction of the sheet bundle, and wherein at least one of the plurality of the concave-convex dents is formed on the edge of the sheet bundle. 5. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the binding area includes the edge of the sheet bundle and an adjacent edge neighboring the edge of the sheet bundle. 6. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the binding area includes the edge of the sheet bundle and does not include an adjacent edge neighboring the edge of the sheet bundle. 7. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the first and second members form a plurality of concave-convex dents, extending in the direction inclining with respect to the edge of the sheet bundle, on the sheet bundle by deforming the sheet bundle in a thickness direction of the sheet bundle, and wherein at least one of the plurality of concave-convex dents is formed on the edge of the sheet bundle. 8. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the sheet binding unit binds a corner, which is formed by a first edge as the edge of the sheet bundle and a second edge, neighboring the first edge, of the sheet bundle, and wherein the binding area is set such that an imaginary straight line which passes through the binding area and extends to be parallel with the longitudinal direction crosses the first and second edges. 9. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising a positioning unit configured to set a relative position between the sheet binding unit and the sheet bundle such that the first and second members face the edge of the sheet bundle in a state in which the first and second members are separated. 10. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the first member includes a first concave-convex surface and the second member includes a second concave-convex surface, and the sheet binding unit binds the sheet bundle by clamping the binding area by the first and second surfaces. 11. A sheet processing apparatus, comprising: a first member; and a second member configured to bind a sheet bundle by clamping the sheet bundle with the first member, wherein the first and second members form a dent portion extending in a direction inclined with respect to an edge of the sheet bundle by clamping the sheet bundle, and wherein the dent portion is formed in an area including the edge of the sheet bundle. 12. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the dent portion includes a plurality of dents, and at least one of the plurality of dents is formed at the edge of the sheet bundle. 13. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 12 , wherein the plurality of dents is arrayed in the direction inclined with respect to the edge of the sheet bundle. 14. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the first and second members bite a corner of the sheet bundle. 15. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the first and second members clamp the edge of the sheet bundle when at least one of the first and second members moves toward the other one of the first and second members in a thickness direction of the sheet bundle from a separation state in which the first and second members are separated. 16. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 11 , further comprising a positioning mechanism configured to be able to set a relative position between the first and second members and the sheet bundle such that the relative position is set at a position where the edge of the sheet bundle is clamped by the first and second members. 17. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 12 , wherein the edge of the sheet bundle is a first edge of the sheet bundle, and another one of plurality of dents is formed at a second edge, neighboring the first edge, of the sheet bundle. 18. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 12 , wherein the edge of the sheet bundle is a first edge of the sheet bundle, and none of the plurality of the dents is formed at a second edge, neighboring the first edge, of the sheet bundle. 19. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 11 , further comprising a positioning unit configured to set a relative position between the first and second members and the sheet bundle such that the first and second members face the edge of the sheet bundle in a state in which the first and second members are separated. 20. The sheet processing apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the first member includes a first concave-convex surface and the second member includes a second concave-convex surface, and the sheet binding unit binds the sheet bundle by clamping the sheet bundle by the first and second surfaces.
