What is claimed: 1. A mechanically chargeable reduced pressure therapy device, comprising: a chamber with a spring retainer therein; a sliding seal residing in the chamber and configured to form a sliding seal with the chamber, the sliding seal comprising a central opening and at least one curved surface; two springs with opposing positions and configured to act on different regions of the at least one curved surface; a rod member configured to push the sliding seal in the chamber; and a valve configured to selectively permit fluid communication with the chamber. 2. The mechanically chargeable reduced pressure therapy device of claim 1 , wherein the mechanically chargeable reduced pressure therapy device is a multi-chamber device. 3. The mechanically chargeable reduced pressure therapy device of claim 1 , wherein the sliding seal further comprises a seal and a seal mount. 4. The mechanically chargeable reduced pressure therapy device of claim 3 , wherein the sliding seal further comprises a space between the seal and the seal mount. 5. The mechanically chargeable reduced pressure therapy device of claim 4 , wherein the space is configured to receive a portion of each of the two springs. 6. A mechanically chargeable reduced pressure therapy device, comprising: a chamber with a spring retainer therein; a sliding seal residing in the chamber and configured to form a sliding seal with the chamber, the sliding seal comprising a central opening, a seal, and a seal mount; two springs with opposing positions and configured to act on different regions of the sliding seal, wherein a space between the seal and the seal mount receives a portion of each of the two springs; a rod member configured to push the sliding seal in the chamber; and a valve configured to selectively permit fluid communication with the chamber. 7. The mechanically chargeable reduced pressure therapy device of claim 6 , wherein the mechanically chargeable reduced pressure therapy device is a multi-chamber device.
