Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A method is disclosed comprising receiving, at a central server, via a transient data session characterized by a session limit, usage data related to an anonymous electronic vapor device, determining, by the central server, a usage profile based on the usage data, transmitting, by the central server, the usage profile to the anonymous electronic vapor device, determining the session limit has been reached, destroying the usage data, and providing a notification to the anonymous electronic vapor device that the usage data has been destroyed.

The invention claimed is: 1. An electronic vaporizing device comprising: a device processor operable for controlling the electronic vaporizing device; a plurality of containers, each container configured to store a vaporizable material; a mixing component operatively coupled to the device processor and controlled in part by the device processor, wherein the mixing component is in fluid communication with the plurality of containers for receiving at least a portion of the vaporizable material therefrom, wherein the mixing component is operable to withdraw a selected amount of vaporizable material from at least one of the plurality of containers; a vaporizing component operatively coupled to the device processor and controlled in part by the device processor, wherein the vaporizing component is in fluid communication with the mixing component for receiving at least a portion of the selected amount of vaporizable material withdrawn from the at least one container by the mixing component, wherein the vaporizing component is operable to vaporize the vaporizable material received therein; at least one vapor outlet coupled to the vaporizing component and configured to receive vapor generated by the vaporizing component, the at least one vapor outlet operable to expel the generated vapor from the vaporizing device; an input/output device operatively coupled to the device processor and configured to establish at least one limited duration data session between the device processor and at least one remote device, wherein the input/output device is operable to transmit a plurality of usage data associated with use of the electronic vaporizing device to the at least one remote device and to receive a plurality of usage profiles, based in part on the plurality of usage data, from the at least one remote device only during the at least one limited duration data session; and at least one power source operatively coupled to the mixing component and the vaporizing component, wherein the at least one power source is operable to generate a supply of power for operation of at least the mixing component, the vaporizing component, and combinations thereof. 2. The electronic vaporizing device of claim 1 , wherein the device processor is further operable to collect a plurality of usage data associated with the use of the electronic vaporizing device and to transmit at least a portion of the plurality of collected usage data to the input/output device for transmission to at least one remote device. 3. The electronic vaporizing device of claim 2 , wherein the plurality of collected usage data include at least one of: chronological usage data, at least one type of vaporizable material used, a frequency of usage, location data associated with at least one location at which the device has been used, user identification data associated with at least one user of the electronic vaporizing device, and combinations thereof. 4. The electronic vaporizing device of claim 2 , wherein at least one of the plurality of usage profiles received from the at least one remote device includes at least one of: an identification of at least one vaporizable material to be vaporized by the vaporizing component, an amount of at least one identified vaporizable material to be vaporized, a frequency of puffs, a duration of time to inhale the puffs, and combinations thereof. 5. The electronic vaporizing device of claim 2 , further comprising a memory operable to store at least a portion of at least one of the plurality of collected usage data, the plurality of usage profiles, and combinations thereof. 6. The electronic vaporizing device of claim 1 , wherein a duration limit of the at least one limited data session is determined by at least one of a specified number of puffs by an associated user, a specified time limit, a specified amount of vaporizable material consumed, a specified maximum dose of at least one specified constituent contained in the vapor, and combinations thereof. 7. The electronic vaporizing device of claim 1 , wherein the input/output device is further operable to: receive a plurality of control signals from the at least one remote device for controlling at least one operational parameter of the electronic vaporizing device based on at least one usage profile; and transmit the plurality of control signals to the device processor for further processing thereof. 8. The electronic vaporizing device of claim 1 , wherein at least a portion of the usage data transmitted to the remote device does not contain any identifying information associated with a user of the electronic vapor device. 9. The electronic vaporizing device of claim 1 , wherein the electronic vaporizing device is selected from the group of electronic vaporizing devices consisting of: an electronic cigarette, an electronic cigar, an electronic vapor device integrated with an electronic communication device, a robotic vapor device, and a micro-size electronic vapor device. 10. The system of claim 1 , wherein the second processor is further operable to: generate a plurality of control signals for controlling at least one operational parameter of the electronic vaporizing device based on at least one usage profile; and transmit at least a portion of the plurality of control signals to the second input/output device for transmission to the electronic vaporizing device. 11. The system of claim 10 , wherein the first input/output device is further operable to: receive a plurality of control signals from the electronic communication device for controlling at least one operational parameter of the electronic vaporizing device; and transmit the plurality of control signals to the first processor for further processing thereof. 12. A system for using an electronic vaporizing device in conjunction with an electronic communication device comprising: an electronic vaporizing device comprising: a first processor operable for controlling the electronic vaporizing device, a plurality of containers configured to store at least one vaporizable material, a mixing component operatively coupled to the first processor and controlled in part by the first processor, wherein the mixing component is in fluid communication with the plurality of containers for receiving at least a portion of the vaporizable material therefrom, wherein the mixing component is operable to withdraw a selected amount of vaporizable material from at least one of the plurality of containers, a vaporizing component operatively coupled to the first processor and controlled in part by the first processor, wherein the vaporizing component is in fluid communication with the plurality of containers for receiving at least a portion of the at least one vaporizable material therefrom, wherein the vaporizing component is operable to vaporize the at least one vaporizable material received therein, at least one vapor outlet coupled to the vaporizing component and configured to receive a vapor generated by the vaporizing component, the at least one vapor outlet operable to expel the generated vapor from the vaporizing device, a first input/output device operatively coupled to the first processor and configured to establish at least one limited duration data session between the first processor and the electronic communication device, wherein the first input/output device is operable to transmit a plurality of usage data associated with use of the electronic vaporizing device to the electronic communication device and to receive a plurality of usage profiles, based in part on the plurality of usage data, from the electronic communication device only during the at least one limited duration data session, and
