Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Systems and methods for completing a transaction using biometric validation and data received from a wireless device are provided. The method comprises wirelessly receiving card data or information associated with the card data from a wireless device, the card data being associated with a card user, and authorizing for transmission, by one or more processors, the card data or the information associated with the card data, to complete the transaction, wherein the card data or information associated with the card data is received after validation of a first entity as the card user, and validation of the first entity as the card user is based on first biometric data received by an electronic device from the first entity.

What is claimed is: 1. A method for completing a transaction using biometric validation and data received from a wireless device, the method comprising: wirelessly receiving card data or information associated with the card data from a wireless device, the card data being associated with a card user; and authorizing for transmission, by the one or more processors, the card data or the information associated with the card data, to complete the transaction, wherein the card data or information associated with the card data is received after validation of a first entity as the card user, and validation of the first entity as the card user is based on first biometric data received by an electronic device from the first entity. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein validation comprises transmitting the received first biometric data to an external server in communication with the one or more processors. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein transmitting includes sending the card data or encrypted data associated with the card data in a secure format. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein one or more processors are in communication with a wireless data reader. 5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the wireless data reader is connected to a device housing the one or more processors. 6. The method of claim 4 , wherein the wireless data reader is built into a device housing the one or more processors. 7. The method of claim 1 , where the card data or information associated with the card data is received from a RFID tag included in the wireless device. 8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first biometric data includes at least one of a fingerprint, voice print, or retinal scan. 9. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting, to an external server, the card data or information associated with the card data, based on the authorization. 10. The method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the card data or information associated with the card data is based on the validation. 11. A device for completing a transaction using biometric validation and data received from a wireless device, the device comprising: at least one memory storing instructions; and one or more processors configured to execute the stored instructions to: wirelessly receive card data or information associated with the card data from a wireless device, the card data being associated with a card user; and authorize for transmission, by the one or more processors, the card data or the information associated with the card data, to complete the transaction, wherein the card data or information associated with the card data is received after validation of a first entity as the card user, and validation of the first entity as the card user is based on first biometric data received by an electronic device from the first entity. 12. The device of claim 11 , wherein validation comprises transmitting the received first biometric data to an external server in communication with the one or more processors. 13. The device of claim 11 , wherein transmitting includes sending the card data or encrypted data associated with the card data in a secure format. 14. The device of claim 11 , wherein one or more processors are in communication with a wireless data reader. 15. The device of claim 14 , wherein the wireless data reader is connected to a device housing the one or more processors. 16. The device of claim 14 , wherein the wireless data reader is built into a device housing the one or more processors. 17. The device of claim 11 , where the card data or information associated with the card data is received from a RFID tag included in the wireless device. 18. The device of claim 11 , wherein the first biometric data includes at least one of a fingerprint, voice print, or retinal scan. 19. The device of claim 11 , further comprising transmitting, to an external server, the card data or information associated with the card data, based on the authorization. 20. The device of claim 11 , wherein the card data or information associated with the card data is received based on the validation. 21. A non-transitory computer readable medium having stored thereon instructions which, when executed, cause one or more processors to perform operations for completing a transaction using biometric validation and data received from a wireless device, the operations comprising: wirelessly receiving card data or information associated with the card data from a wireless device, the card data being associated with a card user; and authorizing for transmission, by the one or more processors, the card data or the information associated with the card data, to complete the transaction, wherein the card data or information associated with the card data is received after validation of a first entity as the card user, and validation of the first entity as the card user is based on first biometric data received by an electronic device from the first entity. 22. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 21 , wherein validation comprises transmitting the received first biometric data to an external server in communication with the one or more processors. 23. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 21 , wherein transmitting includes sending the card data or encrypted data associated with the card data in a secure format. 24. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 21 , wherein one or more processors are in communication with a wireless data reader. 25. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 24 , wherein the wireless data reader is connected to a device housing the one or more processors. 26. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 24 , wherein the wireless data reader is built into a device housing the one or more processors. 27. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 21 , where the card data or information associated with the card data is received from a RFID tag included in the wireless device. 28. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 21 , wherein the first biometric data includes at least one of a fingerprint, voice print, or retinal scan. 29. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 21 , further comprising transmitting, to an external server, the card data or information associated with the card data, based on the authorization. 30. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 21 , wherein receiving the card data or information associated with the card data is based on the validation.
