What is claimed is: 1. An interactive head-mounted display device, comprising: an optical assembly through which at least a portion of a surrounding environment and displayed content are viewable; an integrated processor for handling content for display; an integrated image source for introducing the content to the optical assembly; a temple arm extending from the optical assembly to an end, the temple arm forming an interior cavity that extends from the end along a length of the temple arm and configured to receive an adjustable extension; and an adjustable extension slideably connected through the mouth at the end of the temple arm into the interior cavity toward the optical assembly, the adjustable extension slideable within the interior cavity of the temple arm to selectively change a collective length of the temple arm and the adjustable extension by an amount that is inversely proportional to a corresponding change in an overlap length of the temple arm and the adjustable extension. 2. The interactive head-mounted display device of claim 1 , wherein the adjustable extension is at least partially covered with silicone. 3. The interactive head-mounted display device of claim 1 , wherein the temple arm is a first temple arm, wherein the adjustable extension is a first adjustable extension, wherein the interactive head-mounted display device further comprises a second temple arm supporting the optical assembly and a second adjustable extension slideably connected to the second temple arm, and wherein the first and second adjustable extensions are configured to meet and secure to each other. 4. The interactive head-mounted display device of claim 1 , wherein the temple arm is a first temple arm, wherein the adjustable extension is a first adjustable extension, wherein the interactive head-mounted display device further comprises a second temple arm supporting the optical assembly and a second adjustable extension slideably connected to the second temple arm, and wherein each of the first and second adjustable extensions independently grasp a different portion of the head. 5. The interactive head-mounted display device of claim 1 , wherein the adjustable extension is detachable from the temple arm. 6. The interactive head-mounted display device of claim 1 , wherein the adjustable extension is an add-on feature of the interactive head-mounted display device. 7. The interactive head-mounted display device of claim 1 , wherein the adjustable extension comprises a shape memory material. 8. The interactive head-mounted display device of claim 1 , wherein the adjustable extension is telescopically connected to the temple arm. 9. The interactive head-mounted display device of claim 1 , wherein the adjustable extension is slideably connected to an exterior of the temple arm. 10. The interactive head-mounted display device of claim 1 , wherein the adjustable extension is slideably connected to an interior of the temple arm. 11. The interactive head-mounted display device of claim 1 , wherein the adjustable extension is removably connected to the temple arm, and wherein the temple arm is configured to interchangeably connect with a plurality of differently configured adjustable extensions. 12. The interactive head-mounted display device of claim 3 , wherein the first and second adjustable extensions secure to each other via a magnetic coupling.
