Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An air conditioner includes a main body unit and an auxiliary housing. The main body unit forms a first air outlet which blows out a cool or warm airflow. The auxiliary housing is attached to at least one side of the first air outlet to be freely movable, and forms a second air outlet which blows out taken-in indoor air. A control circuit controls a second wind direction plate so that a second reference plane PL 2 which regulates a wind direction of the second wind direction plate intersects a first reference plane PL 1 which regulates a wind direction of a first wind direction plate, on a downstream side of the airflow.

First claim

The invention claimed is: 1. An air conditioner, comprising: a structural body which forms a first air outlet that extends in a horizontal direction when the structural body is fixed to an indoor wall surface and blows out a cool or warm airflow which is generated by a heat exchanger, and includes a wall body which is fixed to both sides of the first air outlet; a first wind direction plate which is disposed in the first air outlet, and deflects the wind direction of the airflow in the horizontal direction; one pair of auxiliary housings which are respectively attached to the wall body to be freely movable around a horizontal axis, and forms a second air outlet which blows out recirculated indoor room temperature air; a second wind direction plate which is disposed in the second air outlet, and deflects the wind direction of the airflow which is blown out of the second air outlet in the horizontal direction; and a control circuit which generates a first control signal for setting a posture of the first wind direction plate and a second control signal for setting a posture of the second wind direction plate, wherein the control circuit generates one of the first and second control signals based on another of the first and second control signals so that a second reference plane which regulates a wind direction of the second wind direction plate intersects a first reference plane which regulates a wind direction of the first wind direction plate, on a downstream side of the airflow wherein, when changing the posture of the first wind direction plate with respect to the first air outlet, the control circuit provides the second control signal to change the posture of the second wind direction plate with respect to the second air outlet to maintain an intersection angle of the first reference plane and the second reference plane. 2. The air conditioner according to claim 1 , wherein the control circuit operates to blow out the indoor room temperature air from the second air outlet towards a space above the warm airflow when a heating operation is performed. 3. The air conditioner according to claim 2 , wherein the control circuit operates to blow out the warm airflow from the first air outlet toward a floor surface when the heating operation is performed. 4. A control circuit for an air conditioner, comprising: a first blower fan control section which controls a first blower fan, and operates to blow out a cool or warm airflow that is generated by a heat exchanger, from a first air outlet which is formed in a structural body of an indoor unit and extends in the horizontal direction when the structural body is fixed to an indoor wall surface; a first wind direction plate control section which controls an operation of a first wind direction plate which is disposed in the first air outlet to deflect the wind direction of the airflow in the horizontal direction, the first wind direction plate control section providing a first control signal for setting a posture of the first wind direction plate; a second blower fan control section which controls a second blower fan, causing the airflow of the indoor room temperature air blowing out, from second air outlets which are formed in auxiliary housings that are respectively attached to wall bodies fixed to the structural body to be freely movable on both sides of the first air outlet; and a second wind direction plate control section which controls an operation of second wind direction plates which are respectively disposed in the second air outlets to deflect the wind direction of the airflow which is blown out of the second air outlet in the horizontal direction, the second wind direction plate control section providing a second control signal for setting a posture of the second wind direction plates, wherein one of the first and second control signals is generated based on another of the first and second control signals so as to allow a second reference plane which regulates the wind direction of the second wind direction plates to intersect a first reference plane which regulates the wind direction of the first wind direction plate, on a downstream side of the airflow wherein, when changing the posture of the first wind direction plate with respect to the first air outlet, the control circuit provides the second control signal to change the posture of the second wind direction plate with respect to the second air outlet to maintain an intersection angle of the first reference plane and the second reference plane.
