The invention claimed is: 1. A system comprising: a cartridge comprising a first compartment and a second compartment; a first plunger at least partially inserted into the first compartment, wherein the first plunger has a first end and an opposite second end, wherein an outer diameter of the first plunger increases towards an edge of the first plunger at the first end such that the outer diameter is configured to form a first seal with an inner wall of the first compartment, and the first plunger having a passageway extending between the first and second ends, wherein the passageway comprises a sealing lip projecting into the passageway; a second plunger at least partially inserted into the second compartment, wherein the second plunger has a first end and an opposite second end, wherein an outer diameter of the second plunger increases towards an edge of the second plunger at the first end such that the outer diameter is configured to form a first seal with an inner wall of the second compartment, and the second plunger having a passageway extending between the first and second ends, wherein the passageway comprises a sealing lip projecting into the passageway; a first connecting bar that connects the first plunger and the second plunger at the second end of the first plunger and the second plunger; a first plug having a first end and a second end, wherein the first plug is configured for insertion into the passageway of the first plunger to close the passageway at the sealing lip by combining with the sealing lip to form a second seal at the sealing lip; a second plug having a first end and a second end, wherein the second plug is configured for insertion into the passageway of the second plunger to close the passageway at the sealing lip by combining with the sealing lip to form a second seal at the sealing lip; and a second connecting bar that connects the first plug and the second plug at the second end of the first plug and the second plug. 2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the surface of each sealing lip is angled towards the passageway into which each sealing lip extends. 3. The system of claim 1 , wherein each sealing lip is elastic. 4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the sealing lip of each of the first plunger and the second plunger is a first sealing lip, wherein the first end edge of each plunger is provided as a second sealing lip. 5. A plunger assembly for a cartridge comprising a first compartment and a second compartment, the plunger assembly comprising: a first plunger having a first end and an opposite second end, and comprising a passageway extending between the first and second ends, wherein the passageway comprises a deformable first sealing lip projecting into the passageway and wherein the first end edge of the first plunger provides a second sealing lip, wherein the second sealing lip is configured to form a seal with an inner wall of the first compartment; a second plunger having a first end and an opposite second end, and comprising a passageway extending between the first and second ends, wherein the passageway comprises a deformable first sealing lip projecting into the passageway and wherein the first end edge of the second plunger provides a second sealing lip, wherein the second sealing lip is configured to form a seal with an inner wall of the second compartment, a first connecting bar that connects the first plunger and the second plunger at the second end of the first plunger and the second plunger; a first plug having a first end and a second end, wherein the first plug is insertable into the passageway of the first plunger, wherein the first plug is configured close the passageway at the first sealing lip of the first plunger; a second plug having a first end and a second end, wherein the second plug is insertable into the passageway of the second plunger, wherein the second plug is configured close the passageway at the first sealing lip of the second plunger; and a second connecting bar that connects the first plug and the second plug at the second end of the first plug and the second plug. 6. The plunger assembly of claim 5 , wherein the first plunger and the second plunger each comprise a surface at the first end, each surface being backwardly-angled towards the passageway of each respective first plunger and second plunger. 7. The plunger assembly of claim 6 , wherein the backwardly-angled surface terminates in the deformable first sealing lip. 8. The plunger assembly of claim 5 , wherein the first connecting bar and the second connecting bar are in physical contact with each other. 9. The plunger assembly of claim 5 , wherein the first connecting bar includes a recess and the second connecting bar includes a retention element that engages with the recess to substantially fix a position between the first plug, the second plug, the first plunger and the second plunger. 10. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first connecting bar and the second connecting are in physical contact with each other. 11. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first connecting bar includes a recess and the second connecting bar includes a retention element that engages with the recess to substantially fix a position between the first plug, the second plug, the first plunger and the second plunger. 12. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first compartment includes a first substance and the second compartment includes a second substance different than the first substance, and wherein only the first substance simultaneously contacts both the first seal of the first plunger and the second seal at the sealing lip of the first plug and only the second substance simultaneously contacts both the first seal of the second plunger and the second seal at the sealing lip of the second plug. 13. The system of claim 12 , wherein the first substance is present in the passageway on either side of the sealing lip of the first plunger and the second substance is present in the passageway on either side of the sealing lip of the second plunger.
