A method includes receiving and processing an electronic signal that represents television content to provide a first media signal that is playable to present a forward-playback of the television content. The method also includes, responsive to a first instruction, providing a second media signal that is playable to present a reverse-playback of the television content, and recording a portion of the television content that corresponds to the reverse-playback. Further, the method includes, responsive to a second instruction, stopping the recording of the television content. In addition, the method includes, responsive to a third instruction, saving one or more recorded portions of the television content. The method also includes, responsive to receiving a fourth instruction, communicating the saved recording of the television content to a separate computing device.

The invention claimed is: 1. A method comprising: receiving, by a processing system comprising a processor, a reverse-playback request, during presentation of media content; presenting, by the processing system, a reverse-playback of the media content, responsive to the reverse-playback request; recording, by a processing system, a portion of the reverse-playback of the media content, responsive to the reverse-playback request as a recorded portion; receiving, by the processing system, a stop instruction to stop recording the media content; stopping, by the processing system, the recording of the media content and continuing the reverse-playback of the media content as a continued reverse-playback, responsive to receiving the stop instruction; receiving, at the processing system, a frame advance request to begin presenting frames of the recorded portions of the media content; and recording, by the processing system, a second portion of the media content responsive to a second reverse-playback request. 2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: receiving a store instruction to store the store instruction; and saving the store instruction of the media content. 3. The method of claim 2 , wherein responsive to the store instruction, the processing system concatenates the recorded portions of the media content as concatenated recorded portions and saves the concatenated recorded portions of the media content in a forward-playback order of corresponding media content. 4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising providing the media content so that a forward-playback and the reverse-playback of the media content are playable simultaneously on a display device. 5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: saving the recorded portions of the media content as saved recorded portions; receiving, at the processing system, a share instruction to communicate the saved recorded portions of the media content to a separate processing system; and communicating the saved recorded portions of the media content to the separate processing system responsive to receiving the share instruction. 6. The method of claim 5 , further comprising: receiving a message to accompany the saved recorded portions; and communicating the saved recorded portions and the message to the separate processing system responsive to receiving the share instruction. 7. The method of claim 5 , further comprising: storing the media content in a buffer storage of the processing system; and storing the saved recorded portions in a recorded content storage of the processing system, wherein the recorded content storage is distinct from the buffer storage. 8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the processing system comprises a set-top box. 9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the processing system comprises a first processing system, wherein the media content is simultaneously broadcast from a media broadcasting system to a plurality of user processing systems, and wherein the plurality of user processing systems includes the first processing system. 10. A method comprising: storing, by a processing system comprising a processor, a first media signal in a buffer storage of the processing system; receiving, at the processing system, a first instruction to begin recording media content from the first media signal; providing, by the processing system, a second media signal that is playable to present a reverse-playback of the media content responsive to receiving the first instruction, and setting an end point for a recording of a portion of the media content that corresponds to the reverse playback; receiving, at the processing system, a second instruction to stop recording the media content; setting, by the processing system, a start point for recording the portion of the media content that corresponds to the reverse-playback responsive to receiving the second instruction; setting, by the processing system, the start point and continuing the reverse-playback of the media content; receiving, by the processing system, a third instruction to begin recording the media content; and setting, by the processing system, a second end point for a recording of a second portion of the media content that corresponds to continued reverse-playback. 11. The method of claim 10 , further comprising providing, by the processing system, the first and second media signals so that a forward-playback of the media content and the reverse-playback of the media content are playable simultaneously on a display device. 12. The method of claim 10 , further comprising: receiving, by the processing system, a fourth instruction to store the recording of the media content; and storing, by the processing system, the recording of the portion of the media content in a recorded content storage of the processing system, wherein the stored recording is defined by the start and end points, and wherein the stored recording is in a forward-playback order of corresponding media content. 13. The method of claim 12 , further comprising: receiving, at the processing system, a fifth instruction to communicate the stored recording to a social networking application; and communicating the stored recording to a separate processing system associated with the social networking application responsive to receiving the fifth instruction. 14. The method of claim 13 , further comprising: providing a notification that the stored recording should be edited to comply with requirements of the social networking application responsive to receiving the fifth instruction; and providing a graphical user interface for editing the stored recording responsive to the notification. 15. The method of claim 13 , further comprising: receiving, at the processing system, a sixth instruction to stop recording the media content; and responsive to receiving the sixth instruction, the processing system setting a second start point for recording the second portion of the media content. 16. A computing device, comprising: a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, comprising: receiving a first instruction to begin recording media content from a first media signal; providing a second media signal that is playable to present a reverse-playback of the media content responsive to receiving the first instruction, and recording a portion of the media content that corresponds to the reverse-playback; receiving a second instruction to stop recording the media content; stopping the recording of the media content responsive to receiving the second instruction; continuing the reverse-playback of the media content responsive to receiving the second instruction; receiving a third instruction to begin recording the media content; and recording a second portion of the media content that corresponds to continued reverse-playback responsive to receiving the third instruction. 17. The computing device of claim 16 , wherein the operations further comprise: receiving a fourth instruction to stop recording the media content; and responsive to receiving the fourth instruction, stopping the recording of the media content. 18. The computing device of claim 16 , wherein the operations further comprise: receiving a fifth instruction to save the recording of the media content; storing a recording of portions of the media content responsive to receiving the fifth instruction; and concatenating the recorded portions
