Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

To provide a method for producing a tire vulcanizing mold capable of obtaining a tire vulcanizing mold having excellent durability and high precision at low cost and to provide such a tire vulcanizing mold, the method includes producing a tire vulcanizing mold by assembling a pattern molding segment, produced by rapid prototyping, on a metal base segment, the method further includes a step of producing the pattern molding segment from a metal based on a shape of a surface layer part including a pattern shaping surface in a basic model of the tire vulcanizing mold.

First claim

The invention claimed is: 1. A tire vulcanizing mold with a pattern molding segment assembled on a metal base segment, wherein: the pattern molding segment is a metal member produced by rapid prototyping based on a shape of a surface layer including a pattern shaping surface of the tire vulcanizing mold and includes joining portions at both end portions, the metal base segment is a metal member that includes joining portions at both end portions; bolt holes are formed on the joining portions of the pattern molding segment; bolt holes are formed on the joining portions of the metal base segment and are opened in positions corresponding to the bolt holes of the pattern molding segment; the pattern molding segment and the metal base segment are fastened by screwing bolts into the bolt holes of the pattern molding segment and the bolt holes of the metal base segment; and a filler material is intervened between the pattern molding segment and the metal base segment and thermal conductivity of the filler material is higher than that of the metal base segment and the pattern molding segment. 2. The tire vulcanizing mold according to claim 1 , wherein: a thickness of the pattern molding segment at the pattern shaping surface is thinner than a thickness of the pattern molding segment at the joining portions. 3. The tire vulcanizing mold according to claim 1 , wherein: a plurality of pattern molding segments are unified with the metal base segment, which includes bolt holes in four corners. 4. The tire vulcanizing mold according to claim 1 , wherein: a joint projection is formed on a joining side of the pattern molding segment and a joint recess is formed on the metal base segment opposite the joint projection. 5. The tire vulcanizing mold according to claim 4 , wherein: the joint projection has a tapered sectional shape whose width is narrower toward the joining portions of the pattern molding segment and the joint recess is tapered in correspondence to the joint projection whose width is narrower toward the joining portions of the metal base segment. 6. The tire vulcanizing mold according to claim 4 , wherein: the joint projection extends all along a circumferential length of the pattern molding segment and the joint recess extends all along a circumferential length of the metal base segment. 7. The tire vulcanizing mold according to claim 1 , wherein: a bolt receiver, which is a cylindrical member protruding from the joining portions, has a bolt insertion portion in a center opening toward a lower end thereof, and a circumferential surface of the bolt insertion portion has a thread into which a tip portion of the bolt is screwed. 8. The tire vulcanizing mold according to claim 7 , wherein: a mating portion, having a shape corresponding to a shape of the bolt receiver, is recessed from the joining portions outwardly, the mating portion fits with a circumferential surface of the bolt receiver, and the bolt insertion portion leads from the mating portion to the outer periphery. 9. A tire vulcanizing mold with a pattern molding segment assembled on a metal base segment, wherein: the pattern molding segment is a metal member produced by rapid prototyping based on a shape of a surface layer including a pattern shaping surface of the tire vulcanizing mold and includes joining portions at both end portions, the metal base segment is a metal member that includes joining portions at both end portions; bolt holes are formed on the joining portions of the pattern molding segment; bolt holes are formed on the joining portions of the metal base segment and are opened in positions corresponding to the bolt holes of the pattern molding segment; the pattern molding segment and the metal base segment are fastened by screwing bolts into the bolt holes of the pattern molding segment and the bolt holes of the metal base segment; an air-bleeding hole leading from the pattern shaping surface to the joining portions of the pattern molding segment and from the joining portions to an outer periphery of the metal base segment is formed, and the metal base segment and the pattern molding segment are fastened by inserting a fixing pin into the air-bleeding hole. 10. The tire vulcanizing mold according to claim 9 , wherein: the air-bleeding hole is disposed in a scattered manner in a width direction and a circumferential direction.
