Systems, devices, and methods are described for providing orthopedic augments having recessed pockets that receive a fixation material. The orthopedic augments include an outer surface that interfaces with a patient's tissue or bone, and an inner surface that interfaces with an implant, the inner surface comprising a recessed pocket configured to receive a fixation material, a rim around at least a portion of the recessed pocket, and a port in the rim, wherein the recessed pocket extends along the inner surface in at least a direction laterally from the port.

What is claimed is: 1. An orthopedic augment that interfaces with an implant, the orthopedic augment comprising: an outer surface that is adapted to interface with a patient's tissue; and an inner surface configured to interface with the implant, the inner surface comprising: a recessed pocket configured to receive a fixation material; and an outer perimeter defining an opening of the recessed pocket, the outer perimeter comprising a rim, a portion of a first port of the orthopedic augment extending through the outer perimeter, the rim having a concave shape that is configured to mate with a shape of an exterior surface of the implant that the inner surface is configured to interface, the rim further configured for a portion of the exterior surface of the implant to extend across the rim, and wherein the first port extends from a side of the outer surface to the recessed pocket, wherein the recessed pocket extends along the inner surface in at least a direction laterally from the first port, at least a portion of the side of the outer surface through which the first port extends being configured to enclose a portion of the recessed pocket to retain fixation material within the recessed pocket, the rim being shaped to retain the fixation material received within the recessed pocket through the first port when the rim is matingly engaged with the exterior surface of the implant. 2. The orthopedic augment of claim 1 , wherein the orthopedic augment further includes at least a second port that extends from the same side of the outer surface as the first port and which is in fluid communication with the recessed pocket, a portion of the second port extending through a portion of the outer perimeter. 3. The orthopedic augment of claim 1 , wherein the recessed pocket comprises a first compartment and a second compartment separated by a ridge. 4. The orthopedic augment of claim 3 , wherein the ridge is recessed relative to the rim. 5. The orthopedic augment of claim 1 , wherein the recessed pocket is structured to retain at least some of the fixation material that is received within the recessed pocket at a location about the opening that facilitates the fixation material rigidly affixing the orthopedic augment to the implant. 6. The orthopedic augment of claim 5 , wherein the fixation material is a cement or paste. 7. The orthopedic augment of claim 1 , wherein the first port extends from the outer surface to the inner surface and thereby allows insertion of the fixation material into the recessed pocket. 8. The orthopedic augment of claim 1 , further comprising a second port positioned on the same side of the outer surface as the first port. 9. The orthopedic augment of claim 8 , wherein the second port is a fill gauge positioned inferiorly to the first port. 10. The orthopedic augment of claim 8 , wherein the second port has a geometry that is different than a geometry of the first port. 11. The orthopedic augment of claim 1 , wherein the first port comprises a plug. 12. The orthopedic augment of claim 11 , further comprising an extension member configured to couple with an insertion device. 13. The orthopedic augment of claim 1 , wherein the first port is tapered. 14. The orthopedic augment of claim 1 , further comprising at least one mounting member. 15. The orthopedic augment of claim 1 , wherein the outer surface of the augment is at least one of polished, matte, and porous. 16. The orthopedic augment of claim 1 , wherein at least a portion of the outer surface comprises a polished finish. 17. The orthopedic augment of claim 16 , wherein the outer surface further comprises a matte finish or porous composition. 18. The orthopedic augment of claim 1 , wherein the outer surface comprises a porous composition. 19. An orthopedic augment that interfaces with an implant, the orthopedic augment comprising: an outer surface that is adapted to interface with a patient's tissue; and an inner surface configured to interfaces with the implant, the inner surface comprising: a recessed pocket configured to receive a fixation material; an outer perimeter defining an opening of the recessed pocket, the outer perimeter comprising a rim, a portion of a first port of the orthopedic augment extending through a portion of the outer perimeter, the rim having a concave shape that is configured to mate with a shape of an exterior surface of the implant that the inner surface is configured to interface, the rim further configured for a portion of the exterior surface of the implant to extend across the rim, and wherein the first port extends between the inner and outer surfaces, wherein the recessed pocket extends along the inner surface in at least a direction laterally from the first port, the rim being shaped to retain the fixation material received within the recessed pocket through the first port when the rim is matingly engaged with the exterior surface of the implant, and wherein the first port comprises a luer-lock fitting. 20. A kit for use in orthopedic procedures that use one or more orthopedic implants, the kit comprising: a plurality of augments, each comprising: an outer surface; and an inner side having a recessed pocket and an inner surface, the recessed pocket configured to receive a fixation material, an opening of the recessed pocket being defined by an outer perimeter and the inner surface, the outer perimeter comprising a rim, and a port of the augment extending through a side of the outer perimeter, the port being in fluid communication with the recessed pocket, the rim having a concave shape that is configured to mate with a shape of at least one orthopedic implant of the one or more orthopedic implants to retain the fixation material within the recessed pocket when the rim matingly engages an outer surface of the at least one orthopedic implant, wherein the port also extends from a side of the outer surface to the recessed pocket, the recessed pocket inwardly extending from the opening to a depth beyond the port so that the side of the outer surface through which the port extends encloses a portion of the recessed pocket to retain the fixation material within the recessed pocket; and wherein at least one of the plurality of augments has more than one port in fluid communication with the recessed pocket and extending through a portion of the rim outer perimeter.
