Official abstract text for this publication.
A device for detecting and addressing offending objects that are found in a fluid. The device has an image capturing device that receives images of a substrate such as a fluid. The captured images are analyzed by an image recognition system. If the image recognition system detects the presence of an offending object—the device performs further steps to remove or neutralize the offending object.

What is claimed is: 1. A device for detecting and addressing offending objects, comprising: an image capturing device; an image recognition system connected to said image capturing device, said image recognition system being trained to recognize characteristics of said offending object; a moveable arm, said moveable arm deployable above a channel of flowing fluid to contact fluid that is being searched for offending objects; an action head provided on the moveable arm, the action head comprising any of a gripping device or a suctioning device; and software configured to detect a presence of an offending object and to control said moveable arm to move said action head to said offending object. 2. The device of claim 1 , whereby the action head is configured to grip a detected offending object. 3. The device of claim 1 , whereby the action comprises a vacuum head configured to draw in an offending object. 4. A device for detecting and addressing offending objects, comprising: a mobile platform; an image capturing device disposed on the mobile platform; an image recognition system connected to said image capturing device, said image recognition system being trained to recognize characteristics of said offending object; a moveable arm disposed on the mobile platform, said moveable arm deployable above a channel of flowing fluid to contact fluid that is being searched for offending objects; an action head provided on the moveable arm, the action head comprising any of a gripping device or a suctioning device; and software configured to detect a presence of an offending object and to control said moveable arm to move said action head to said offending object. 5. The device of claim 4 , whereby the action head is configured to grip a detected offending object. 6. The device of claim 4 , whereby the action comprises a vacuum head configured to draw in an offending object.
