Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Embodiments are also provided for displaying an image capturing mode and a content viewing mode. In some embodiments, one or more live images may be received from an image capturing component on a mobile device. A user interface may display the live images on a touch-sensing display interface of the mobile device. A first gesture may also be detected with the touch-sensing display interface. In response to detecting the first gesture, at least a portion of a collection of content items may be displayed within a first region of the user interface, and/or the one or more live images may be displayed within a second region of the user interface.

First claim

What is claimed: 1. A method, comprising: receiving at least one live image from an image capturing component on a user device; displaying a user interface including the at least one live image in a full screen presentation mode within a display interface of the user device; detecting a first gesture with the display interface; and displaying, in response to the first gesture: a plurality of collections of content items within a first region of the user interface, wherein displaying each collection of content items of the plurality of collections of content items comprises presenting a single icon that represents multiple content items; and the at least one live image in a partial screen presentation mode within a second region of the user interface; detecting a second gesture with the display interface, the second gesture capturing one or more of: a first image, a first set of continuous images, or a first video from the received at least one live image; and placing the one or more of the first image, the first set of continuous images, or the first video in a collection of content items of the plurality of collections of content items. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of collections of content items automatically synchronizes with an authorized account on a content management system. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of collections of content items comprises collections of content items displayed in a grid-like format within the first region of the user interface. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of collections of content items further comprises one or more of: photographs; multi-frame photographs; videos; collections of photographs; or collections of videos. 5. The method of claim 1 , wherein: the image capturing component comprises a camera; and the at least one live image displayed within the user interface is an output from the camera. 6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first gesture comprises one or more of a flick, a drag, a swipe, a lasso, a vocal command, a long press, a hover gesture, or a tap. 7. The method of claim 1 , wherein: the plurality of collections of content items is displayed in a grid; and the the first region of the user interface comprises a first row of the grid. 8. The method of claim 1 , wherein displaying the plurality of collections of content items within the first region of the user interface comprises displaying a plurality of icons where each icon represents a collection of multiple content items located on a content management system distinct from the user device. 9. A non-transitory computer readable medium containing instructions that, when executed by at least one processor of a user device, cause the user device to: receive at least one live image from an image capturing component on the user device; determine that a portion of the at least one image includes at least one contact of a user of the user device; display a user interface comprising the at least one live image within a full screen presentation mode on a display interface of the user device; detect a first gesture with the display interface; display, in response to the first gesture, the at least one live image in a partial screen presentation mode within a first region of the user interface, and display within a second region of the user interface at least a portion of a listing of collections of content items, wherein displaying each collection of content items within the listing of collections of content items comprises presenting a single icon that represents multiple content items; and detect a second gesture with the display interface, the second gesture capturing a first image from the at least one live image and placing the first image in the listing of collections of content items within the second region of the user interface. 10. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 9 , wherein the listing of collections of content items comprises an ordered listing based on an amount of images of the at least one contact within each collection. 11. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 9 , further comprising defining the first region and the second region of the user interface to have equal area on the display interface. 12. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 11 , wherein: the listing of collections of content items comprises a title corresponding to each collection of content items; and the title corresponding to each collection of content items comprises transparent font. 13. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 9 , wherein the listing of collections of content items are ordered with respect to one or more of a title, an icon, a thumbnail image, or an amount of images of the at least one contact within each collection of content items. 14. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 9 , wherein: each collection of content items within the listing of collections of content items comprises thumbnail images for each content item within the corresponding collection; and each thumbnail image within the corresponding collection of content items comprises at least one content item viewable in response to a second gesture being performed. 15. A system comprising: at least one processor; at least one image capturing component; a display interface; and memory comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to: receive at least one live image from the at least one image capturing component; display a user interface including the at least one live image in a full screen presentation mode within the display interface; detect a first gesture with respect to the display interface capturing one or more of a first image and a first video using the at least one capturing component; detect a second gesture with respect to the display interface; display, in response to the second gesture, at least: the at least one live image within a partial screen presentation mode within a first region of the user interface; and a collection of applications within a second region of the user interface. 16. The system of claim 15 , wherein the at least one application enables a user to share one or more of the first image or the first video using the at least one application. 17. The system of claim 15 , wherein the collection of applications comprise applications selected by a user. 18. The system of claim 15 , wherein the first gesture comprises one or more of: a tap, a long press, or an audio command. 19. The system of claim 15 , wherein the second gesture comprises one or more of: a swipe, a flick, a hover gesture, a hand wave, a drag, or a finger roll. 20. A system comprising: at least one image capturing component; a display interface; at least one processor; at least one non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to display a user interface on the display interface comprising: the at least one live image received from the at least one image capturing component and provided in a full screen presentation mode; a button operable to capture one or more of an image or a video from the at least one live image provided in the full screen presentation mode, wherein in response to detecting a first gesture with the button, the instructions modify the user interface to comprise: a first region comprising the at least one live image
