What is claimed is: 1. A food product for a human or non-human animal, the food product comprising a powder composition comprising one or more oligosaccharide from bovine milk or bovine milk product and an inoculum of Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantis or B. breve , wherein the oligosaccharide is from Table 1 and is selected from the group consisting of: an oligosaccharide consisting of 3 Hexose (Hex) moieties, 4 N-acetyl hexosamine (HexNAc) moieties and 1 fucose (Fuc) moiety; an oligosaccharide consisting of 4 Hex moieties, 4 HexNAc moieties, and 1 Fuc moiety; an oligosaccharide consisting of 3 Hex moieties, 5 HexNAc moieties, and 1 Fuc moiety; an oligosaccharide consisting of 5 Hex moieties, 4 HexNAc moieties, and 1 Fuc moiety; an oligosaccharide consisting of 4 Hex moieties, 5 HexNAc moieties, and 1 Fuc moiety; an oligosaccharide consisting of 3 Hex moieties, 6 HexNAc moieties, and 1 Fuc moiety; an oligosaccharide consisting of 3 Hex moieties and 6 HexNAc moieties, an oligosaccharide consisting of 4 Hex moieties and 3 HexNAc moieties; an oligosaccharide consisting of 3 Hex moieties and 4 HexNAc moieties; an oligosaccharide consisting of 6 Hex moieties and 2 HexNAc moieties; an oligosaccharide consisting of 4 Hex moieties and 4 HexNAc moieties; an oligosaccharide consisting of 3 Hex moieties and 5 HexNAc moieties; an oligosaccharide consisting of 5 Hex moieties and 4 HexNAc moieties; an oligosaccharide consisting of 4 Hex moieties and 5 HexNAc moieties; and a mixture thereof. 2. The food product of claim 1 , comprising one or more of an oligosaccharide consisting of 3 Hex moieties, 4 HexNAc moieties and 1 fucose (Fuc) moiety; an oligosaccharide consisting of 4 Hex moieties, 4 HexNAc moieties, and 1 Fuc moiety; an oligosaccharide consisting of 3 Hex moieties, 5 HexNAc moieties, and 1 Fuc moiety; an oligosaccharide consisting of 5 Hex moieties, 4 HexNAc moieties, and 1 Fuc moiety; an oligosaccharide consisting of 4 Hex moieties, 5 HexNAc moieties, and 1 Fuc moiety; or an oligosaccharide consisting of 3 Hex moieties, 6 HexNAc moieties, and 1 Fuc moiety. 4. The food product of claim 1 , wherein the concentration of the oligosaccharide in the composition is from 100 micrograms/L to 25 grams/L. 5. The food product of claim 1 , wherein the composition is selected from the group consisting of a tablet, a capsule, a medical food, or a medical product. 6. The food product of claim 1 , wherein said food product is selected from the group consisting of an infant formula, follow-on formula, toddler's beverage, milk, fruit juice, and fruit-based drink. 7. The food product of claim 1 , wherein the oligosaccharide has been purified from bovine milk or a bovine milk product. 8. The food product of claim 1 , further comprising an inoculum of a fungus or yeast. 9. The food product of claim 1 , wherein the inoculum is an inoculum of Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantis. 10. The food product of claim 1 , wherein the oligosaccharide is an oligosaccharide consisting of 3 Hex moieties, 4 HexNAc moieties and 1 fucose (Fuc) moiety. 11. The food product of claim 1 , wherein the oligosaccharide is an oligosaccharide consisting of 4 Hex moieties, 4 HexNAc moieties, and 1 Fuc moiety. 12. The food product of claim 1 , wherein the oligosaccharide is an oligosaccharide consisting of 3 Hex moieties, 5 HexNAc moieties, and 1 Fuc moiety. 13. The food product of claim 1 , wherein the oligosaccharide is an oligosaccharide consisting of 5 Hex moieties, 4 HexNAc moieties, and 1 Fuc moiety. 14. The food product of claim 1 , wherein the oligosaccharide is an oligosaccharide consisting of 4 Hex moieties, 5 HexNAc moieties, and 1 Fuc moiety. 15. The food product of claim 1 , wherein the oligosaccharide is an oligosaccharide consisting of 3 Hex moieties, 6 HexNAc moieties, and 1 Fuc moiety. 16. The food product of claim 1 , wherein the oligosaccharide is an oligosaccharide consisting of 3 Hex moieties and 6 HexNAc moieties. 17. The food product of claim 1 , wherein the oligosaccharide is an oligosaccharide consisting of 4 Hex moieties and 3 HexNAc moieties. 18. The food product of claim 1 , wherein the oligosaccharide is an oligosaccharide consisting of 4 Hex moieties and 5 HexNAc moieties. 24. The food product of claim 1 , wherein the food product is an infant cereal or an adult cereal. 25. The food product of claim 1 , wherein the food product is a human food product. 26. The food product of claim 1 , wherein the food product is in dose form and the inoculum of Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantis or B. breve is present at a level of from 10 4 to 10 12 cfu/dose.
