Official abstract text for this publication.
A light emitting device includes a substrate, a light emitting element and a sealing resin member. The substrate includes a flexible base, a plurality of wiring portions and a groove portion. The groove portion is formed between the plurality of wiring portions spaced apart from each other, and includes a first groove portion, a second groove portion, and a third groove portion extending in a direction intersecting the first and second groove portions. The first and third groove portions are connected to each other with a curve. The second and third groove portions are connected to each other with a curve. The sealing resin member seals the light emitting element and the substrate. The sealing resin member is arranged on the third groove portion and spaced apart from the first groove portion and the second groove portion.

What is claimed is: 1. A light emitting device comprising: a substrate including a flexible base extending in a first direction corresponding to a longitudinal direction of the substrate, a plurality of wiring portions arranged on the base, and a groove portion formed between the plurality of wiring portions spaced apart from each other, and including a first groove portion, a second groove portion, and a third groove portion extending in a direction intersecting the first groove portion and the second groove portion, the first groove portion and the third groove portion being connected to each other with a curve, the second groove portion and the third groove portion being connected to each other with a curve; a light emitting element disposed on the substrate and electrically connected to the plurality of wiring portions; and a sealing resin member sealing the light emitting element and the substrate, the sealing resin member being arranged on the third groove portion and spaced apart from the first groove portion and the second groove portion. 2. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the first groove portion extends in a second direction intersecting the first direction. 3. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the third groove portion extends in the first direction. 4. The light emitting device according to claim 3 , wherein the sealing resin member is arranged at a location different from that of the first groove portion in the first direction. 5. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the first groove portion and the second groove portion provide more bending flexibility in the second direction than bending flexibility at the third groove portion. 6. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the light emitting element is spaced apart from the first groove portion. 7. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the substrate includes a pair of terminal portions extending in the first direction, and the pair of terminal portions are arranged at both ends of the flexible base. 8. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the substrate includes a reflective layer arranged on the plurality of wiring portions, and the reflective layer has an opening portion in which the light emitting element is arranged. 9. The light emitting device according to claim 8 , wherein the flexible base is made of an insulating resin, and the reflective layer is made of silicone resin. 10. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the light emitting element is mounted on the substrate in a flip-chip manner. 11. The light emitting device according to claim 10 , wherein a longitudinal direction of the light emitting element is substantially in parallel to the second direction. 12. The light emitting device according to claim 10 , further comprising an underfill material applied between the light emitting element and the substrate. 13. The light emitting device according to claim 12 , wherein the underfill material is disposed on the groove portion, on the plurality of wiring portions, and on the reflective layer. 14. The light emitting device according to claim 12 , wherein the underfill material has a light reflecting property. 15. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein a radius of a rounded corner of the wiring portion is 100 μm or greater. 16. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein a thickness of the flexible base is 10 μm to 100 μm, and a thickness of the wiring portion is 8 μm to 150 μm. 17. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the sealing resin member contains a wavelength converting member. 18. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of wiring portions has a first wiring portion, a second wiring portion and a third wiring portion, the first wiring portion is adjacent to the second wiring portion and the third wiring portion, the second wiring portion and the third wiring portion are adjacent to each other, two groove portions are formed between the first wiring portion, the second wiring portion and the third wiring portion, and the first wiring portion includes a protruded portion which is protruded toward the two groove portions at a region where the two groove portions intersect. 19. The light emitting device according to claim 7 , further comprising a plurality of blocks aligned in the first direction, each of the plurality of blocks having a plurality of light emitting elements including the light emitting element, wherein the plurality of light emitting elements are electrically connected each other in each of the plurality of blocks, and the pair of terminal portions are respectively connected to each of the plurality of blocks.
