An apparatus is capable of sharing information through a presence service in a communication network and capable of providing presence information of a Mobile Station (MS). The apparatus extracts at least one of application information and contents indication information from an application in execution. Presence information is generated that includes at least one of the application information and the contents indication information, and transmitting the presence information to a presence server.

What is claimed is: 1. A server for providing information regarding a user, the server comprising: a memory storing instructions; a processor configured to execute the instructions to at least: control to receive, from a first electronic device, application information identifying an application executed in the first electronic device and automatically generated first user activity information regarding a first activity which a user of the first electronic device performed with respect to the application executed in the first electronic device; control to transmit, to a second electronic device, first information being based on the application information and the automatically generated first user activity information regarding the first activity which the user of the first electronic device performed with respect to the application executed in the first electronic device; control to receive, from the first electronic device, automatically generated second user activity information regarding a second activity which the user of the first electronic device performed with respect to the application executed in the first electronic device; and control to transmit, to the second electronic device, second information being based on the automatically generated second user activity information regarding the second activity which the user of the first electronic device performed with respect to the application executed in the first electronic device, wherein the first information and the second information are transmitted to the second electronic device according to a sharing range of the user with which application information identifying an application to be executed in an electronic device and user activity information regarding an activity which the user is to perform with respect to the application to be executed in the electronic device are to be shared. 2. The server of claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to execute the stored instructions further to: control to receive, from the first electronic device, application information identifying another application executed in the first electronic device and automatically generated third user activity information regarding a third activity which the user of the first electronic device performed with respect to the other application executed in the first electronic device; control to transmit, to the second electronic device, third information being based on the application information identifying the other application and the automatically generated third user activity information regarding the third activity which the user of the first electronic device performed with respect to the other application executed in the first electronic device. 3. The server of claim 1 , wherein the application information identifying the application executed in the first electronic device includes a title of the application executed in the first electronic device. 4. The server of claim 1 , wherein the application executed in the first electronic device comprises a web browser. 5. The server of claim 1 , wherein the application executed in the first electronic device comprises a media player. 6. The server of claim 5 , wherein the automatically generated first user activity information regarding the first activity which the user performed with respect to the media player executed in the first electronic device indicates that the user is watching. 7. The server of claim 5 , wherein the automatically generated first user activity information regarding the first activity which the user performed with respect to the media player executed in the first electronic device indicates that the user is listening. 8. The server of claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to execute the stored instructions further to control to receive, from the second electronic device, application information identifying an application executed in the second electronic device and automatically generated fourth user activity information regarding a fourth activity which a user of the second electronic device performed with respect to the application executed in the second electronic device. 9. The server of claim 1 , wherein the first information and the second information are automatically generated in response to user inputs to the second electronic device. 10. A method comprising: receiving, by a server from a first electronic device, application information identifying an application executed in the first electronic device and automatically generated user activity information regarding a first activity which a user of the first electronic device performed with respect to the application executed in the first electronic device; transmitting, by a server to a second electronic device, first information being based on the application information and the automatically generated user activity information regarding the first activity which the user of the first electronic device performed with respect to the application executed in the first electronic device, receiving, by the server from the first electronic device, automatically generated user activity information regarding a second activity which the user of the first electronic device performed with respect to the application executed in the first electronic device, and transmitting, by the server to the second electronic device, second information being based on the automatically generated user activity information regarding the second activity which the user of the first electronic device performed with respect to the application executed in the first electronic device, wherein the first information and the second information are transmitted to the second electronic device according to a sharing range of the user with which application information identifying an application to be executed in an electronic device and user activity information regarding an activity which the user is to perform with respect to the application to be executed in the electronic device are to be shared. 11. The method of claim 10 , further comprising: receiving, from the first electronic device, application information identifying another application executed in the first electronic device and automatically generated user activity information regarding a third activity which the user of the first electronic device performed with respect to the other application executed in the first electronic device; transmitting, to the second electronic device, third information comprising the application information identifying the other application and the automatically generated user activity information regarding the third activity which the user of the first electronic device performed with respect to the other application executed in the first electronic device. 12. The method of claim 10 , wherein the application information includes a title of the application executed in the first electronic device. 13. The method of claim 10 , wherein the application executed in the first electronic device comprises a web browser. 14. The method of claim 10 , wherein the application executed in the first electronic device comprises a media player. 15. The method of claim 14 , wherein the automatically generated user activity information regarding the first activity which the user performed with respect to the media player executed in the first electronic device indicates that the user is watching. 16. The method of claim 14 , wherein the automatically generated user activity information regarding the first activity which the user performed with respect to the media player
