Opening claim text (preview).
The invention claimed is: 1. A Coryneform microorganism with an improved ability to produce L-lysine in which a septum formation initiator protein is inactivated, wherein the septum formation initiator protein is a filamentous temperature sensitive B (FtsB) protein. 2. The microorganism according to claim 1 , wherein the septum formation initiator protein has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1. 3. The microorganism according to claim 1 , wherein the Coryneform microorganism is Corynebacterium glutamicum. 4. A method for producing L-lysine, the method comprising: culturing the microorganism of claim 1 , to produce L-lysine in a culture medium; and recovering L-lysine from the microorganism or the culture medium.
