Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An organic light emitting display and a method of manufacturing the same. The organic light-emitting display is a transparent display where one can see through the display to view an image on the other side of the display. Each pixel of the display has a first region that includes an organic light emitting diode and a thin film transistor, and a larger second region that is transparent. The second region is made of either transparent layers or ultra-thin layers so that light is not blocked. A second electrode of the display may include magnesium and may be produced by a selective deposition process, so that use of a fine metal mask may be avoided.

What is claimed is: 1. An organic light emitting display device, the organic light emitting display device has at least one first region that emits light, and at least one second region that transmits external light, the organic light emitting display device comprising: a substrate; and a plurality of pixels arranged on the substrate, at least one pixel including: a first electrode in the at least one first region; an organic layer disposed on the first electrode, the organic layer comprising an emission layer; a first auxiliary layer disposed on the organic layer, the first auxiliary layer comprising a first portion that is disposed in the at least one first region; a second auxiliary layer being adjacent to the first auxiliary layer, the second auxiliary layer being disposed in the at least one second region; and a second electrode disposed on the first auxiliary layer in the at least one first region, wherein at least a portion of the second electrode is directly contacted with the first auxiliary layer. 2. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , the at least one pixel further comprising: a pixel circuit unit that includes at least one thin film transistor that is electrically connected to the first electrode. 3. The organic light emitting display device of claim 2 , wherein at least a portion of the at least one thin film transistor is not overlapped with the first electrode. 4. The organic light emitting display device of claim 2 , wherein the first electrode completely covers the at least one thin film transistor in a plan view. 5. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , the first auxiliary layer further comprising a second portion that is extended from the first portion, the second portion being disposed in the at least one second region. 6. The organic light emitting display device of claim 5 , wherein the second auxiliary layer is disposed on the first auxiliary layer in the at least one second region, and the second auxiliary layer and the second portion of first auxiliary layer are overlapped with each other in a plan view. 7. The organic light emitting display device of claim 5 , wherein the organic layer further comprises a first organic layer disposed between the first electrode and the emission layer, and a second organic layer disposed between the emission layer and the first auxiliary layer, and the first organic layer, emission layer and the second organic layer are disposed in the at least one first region. 8. The organic light emitting display device of claim 7 , wherein the first organic layer is further disposed in the at least one second region. 9. The organic light emitting display device of claim 8 , wherein the first organic layer is directly contacted with the first auxiliary layer in the at least one second region. 10. The organic light emitting display device of claim 7 , wherein the second organic layer is further disposed in the at least one second region. 11. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein the second electrode is further disposed on the second auxiliary layer, a thickness of the second electrode in the at least one first region is thicker than a thickness of the second electrode in the at least one second region. 12.
