Methods, compounds, and compositions described herein generally relate to hemiaminal organogel networks (HDCNs) and methods of forming HDCNs. In some embodiments, a hemiaminal organogel has a plurality of first polymers, each having a first end and a second end, a plurality of second polymers, each having a first end and a second end, and a plurality of trivalent aminal-hemiaminal linkages. The first end of each polymer of the plurality of first polymers may be covalently bonded to a first trivalent aminal-hemiaminal linkage. The second end of each polymer of the plurality of first polymers may be covalently bonded to a second trivalent aminal-hemiaminal linkage. The first end of each polymer of the plurality of second polymers may be covalently bonded to one of the plurality of trivalent aminal-hemiaminal linkages. The second end of each polymer of the plurality of second polymers may be non-covalently bonded.

What is claimed is: 1. A hemiaminal organogel comprising: a plurality of first polymers, each having a first end and a second end; a plurality of second polymers, each having a first end and a second end; and a plurality of trivalent aminal-hemiaminal linkages, wherein the first end of each polymer of the plurality of first polymers is covalently bonded to a first trivalent aminal-hemiaminal linkage of the plurality of trivalent aminal-hemiaminal linkages, wherein the second end of each polymer of the plurality of first polymers is covalently bonded to a second trivalent aminal-hemiaminal linkage of the plurality of trivalent aminal-hemiaminal linkages, wherein the first end of each polymer of the plurality of second polymers is covalently bonded to one of the plurality of trivalent aminal-hemiaminal linkages, and wherein the second end of each polymer of the plurality of second polymers is non-covalently bonded. 2. The hemiaminal organogel of claim 1 , wherein the hemiaminal organogel has a storage modulus that is less than a storage modulus of a hemiaminal organogel consisting of the first polymer and the trivalent hemiaminal linkages. 3. The hemiaminal organogel of claim 1 , further comprising an organic solvent. 4. The hemiaminal organogel of claim 3 , wherein the organic solvent is polymerizable. 5. The hemiaminal organogel of claim 4 , wherein the polymerizable organic solvent is N-vinyl pyrrolidone. 6. The hemiaminal organogel of claim 3 , wherein the organic solvent is N-methyl pyrrolidone. 7. The hemiaminal organogel of claim 3 , wherein a volume fraction of the organic solvent in the hemiaminal organogel is between about 50% by volume to about 95% by volume. 8. The hemiaminal organogel of claim 1 , wherein the second end of one or more polymers of the plurality of second polymers is alkoxyl. 9. The hemiaminal organogel of claim 8 , wherein the alkoxyl second end is methoxy. 10. The hemiaminal organogel of claim 1 , wherein the second end of one or more polymer of the plurality of second polymers is hydroxyl. 11. The hemiaminal organogel of claim 10 , wherein the hydroxyl second end is a mono-ol or a diol. 12. The hemiaminal organogel of claim 1 , wherein the first polymer is polyethylene glycol. 13. The hemiaminal organogel of claim 1 , wherein the second polymer is polyethylene glycol. 14. The hemiaminal organogel of claim 1 , wherein the first polymer and the second polymer each have a number average molecular weight (Mn) of about 4.6 kDa to about 8 kDa. 15. The hemiaminal organogel of claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of third polymers, each having a first end and a second end, wherein the second end of each polymer of the plurality of third polymers is unbonded.
