What is claimed is: 1. A method comprising: establishing, by a computing device, a communication link with a wearable activity monitoring device; determining, by the computing device, a location of the wearable activity monitoring device; receiving activity information from the wearable activity monitoring device, the activity information corresponding to recorded activity of a user of the wearable activity monitoring device; determining, by the computing device, an athletic activity performed by the user based on the location of the wearable activity monitoring device; determining, by the computing device, whether the user of the wearable activity monitoring device satisfied an activity goal by a first threshold amount; and in response to the determining that the user satisfied the activity goal by the first threshold amount, awarding the user with a first activity reward. 2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: presenting the user with a second activity reward in response to the determining that the user satisfied the activity goal by a second threshold amount. 3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: generating a message including an indication of the first activity reward; and transmitting the message to a community site using an account of the user on the community site. 4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: receiving configuration settings for the wearable activity monitoring device; and configuring the wearable activity monitoring device through the communication link based on the configuration settings. 5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: determining, by the computing device, that the activity goal has been achieved by the user; and generating, by the computing device, a prompt to increase the activity goal in response to the determining that the activity goal has been achieved. 6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: storing the location of the wearable activity monitoring device in association with the activity information. 7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: determining, by the computing device, a first activity type for a first portion of the activity information; and storing the first activity type in association with the first portion of the activity information. 8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the determining the first activity type further comprises: receiving, by the computing device, a user indication of the first activity type. 9. The method of claim 7 , wherein the determining the first activity type is based on a location where the first portion of the activity information was recorded. 10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the first activity type is determined from an activity type previously specified in association with the location. 11. The method of claim 7 , further comprises: determining, by the computing device a second activity type for a second portion of the activity information and storing the second activity type in association with the second portion of the activity information. 12. The method of claim 11 , further comprises: generating, by the computing device, a summary of the activity information including identification of a first amount of activity of the first activity type recorded and a second amount of activity of the second activity type recorded. 13. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: receiving, by the computing device, a selection of an image to associate with the activity information. 14. The method of claim 13 , further comprising: receiving, by the computing device, a user indication of a subjective feeling toward the user activity or performance of the user activity; and storing the user indication of the subjective feeling with the image in association with the activity information. 15. A non-transitory computer readable medium storing executable instructions that, when executed, cause an apparatus at least to perform: establishing a communication link with a wearable activity monitoring device; determining a location of the wearable activity monitoring device; receiving activity information from the wearable activity monitoring device, the activity information corresponding to recorded activity of a user of the wearable activity monitoring device; determining an athletic activity performed by the user based on the location of the wearable activity monitoring device; determining whether the user of the wearable activity monitoring device satisfied an activity goal by a first threshold amount; and in response to the determining that the user satisfied the activity goal by the first threshold amount, awarding the user with a first activity reward. 16. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the executable instructions, when executed, cause the apparatus to perform: presenting the user with a second activity reward in response to the determining that the user satisfied the activity goal by a second threshold amount. 17. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the executable instructions, when executed, cause the apparatus to perform: receiving configuration settings for the wearable activity monitoring device; and configuring the wearable activity monitoring device through the communication link based on the configuration settings. 18. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the executable instructions, when executed, cause the apparatus to perform: generating a message including an indication of the first activity reward; and transmitting the message to a community site using an account of the user on the community site. 19. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the executable instructions, when executed, cause the apparatus to perform: determining that the activity goal has been achieved by the user; and generating a prompt to increase the activity goal in response to the determining that the activity goal has been achieved. 20. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the executable instructions, when executed, cause the apparatus to perform: determining a first activity type for a first portion of the activity information; and storing the first activity type in association with the first portion of the activity information.
