A disposable single indication orthopedic trauma surgical kit has no bone plates other than a single bone plate precountoured and sized to match an anatomic shape of a portion of a bone of a patient's extremity. The single bone plate has a plurality of fastener apertures. The surgical kit also has a plurality of fasteners with heads that are dimensioned to mate with the fastener apertures. The surgical kit also has a disposable torque driver adapted to engage the fastener heads. The foregoing components are contained in a sterile sealed container.

The invention claimed is: 1. A system of single indication orthopedic trauma surgical kits, comprising: a) a sterile sealed kit for treatment of fractures of the left distal volar radius, the kit comprising a sterile sealed container, a single bone plate, the bone plate being anatomically shaped and sized to match the left distal volar radius, a plurality of fasteners each including a head having an approximately square socket, a torque fastener driver adapted to engage the fastener socket, a wire drill, drill guides, and a depth gage; b) a sterile sealed kit for treatment of fractures of the right distal volar radius, the kit comprising a sterile sealed container, a single bone plate, the bone plate being anatomically shaped to match the right distal volar radius, a plurality of fasteners each including a head having an approximately square socket, a torque fastener driver adapted to engage the fastener socket, a wire drill, drill guides, and a depth gage; c) a sterile sealed kit for treatment of fractures of the fibula, the kit comprising a sterile sealed container, a single bone plate, the bone plate being anatomically shaped to match the right and left fibula, a plurality of fasteners each including a head having an approximately square socket, a torque fastener driver adapted to engage the fastener socket, a wire drill, drill guides, and a depth gage; and d) a sterile sealed kit for treatment of fractures of the distal ulna, the kit comprising a sterile sealed container, a single bone plate, the bone plate being anatomically shaped to match the right and left distal ulna, a plurality of fasteners each including a head having an approximately square socket, a torque fastener driver adapted to engage the fastener socket, a wire drill, drill guides, and a depth gage, wherein each of the sterile sealed containers includes a bottom tray and a top lid supported by the bottom tray, the bottom tray and the top lid each including at least one opening configured to facilitate steam access and drainage during a steam resterilization process; and wherein at least one of the sterile sealed containers includes an integrally formed reservoir and an integrally formed stripping slot, the stripping slot being configured to remove the drill guides from the respective torque fastener driver, the reservoir being configured to collect the drill guides removed from the respective torque fastener driver by the stripping slot in a visible linear arrangement. 2. The system of claim 1 , wherein each of the sterile sealed kits is steam autoclave resterilizable after the kit has been opened. 3. The system of claim 2 , wherein each of the sterile sealed kits is operable for treatment of fractures subsequent to steam autoclave resterilization. 4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the sterile sealed containers of all the sterile sealed kits have a common design and are configurable for different surgical indications. 5. The system of claim 1 , wherein each of the sterile sealed kits includes displayed graphics that pertain to the surgical indication and use of the kit. 6. The system of claim 5 , wherein the displayed graphics are integrally molded with at least one of the bottom tray and the top lid. 7. The system of claim 1 , wherein each of the sterile sealed kits has one of a number of colors, each color corresponding to one of a number of surgical indications. 8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one opening includes a plurality of openings. 9. The system of claim 1 , wherein the top lid is removably hinged to the bottom tray. 10. The system of claim 1 , wherein the top lid is supported by the bottom tray after the kit has been opened. 11. The system of claim 1 , wherein each sterile sealed container is disposed within a respective outer package. 12. The system of claim 11 , wherein each outer package includes a removable sealing membrane configured to seal the outer package. 13. The system of claim 12 , wherein each of the sterile sealed kits includes displayed graphics that pertain to the surgical indication and use of the kit, and wherein the displayed graphics are visible through the sealing membrane. 14. The system of claim 12 , wherein the sealing membrane includes displayed graphics that pertain to the surgical indication and use of the kit. 15. The system of claim 1 , wherein each of the torque fastener drivers includes a square taper portion which transitions to a square drive tip.
