What is claimed is: 1. A mask assembly adapted for use with a positive airway pressure device for delivery of pressurized gas to a patient for treatment of sleep disordered breathing, the mask assembly comprising: a mask frame including a lower portion and a neck extending from the lower portion; a cushion provided to the mask frame and adapted to contact the patient's face; a forehead support assembly provided to the neck of the mask frame, the forehead support assembly including a forehead support and a forehead pad provided to the forehead support; and an elbow assembly provided to the mask frame, wherein the neck includes a pair of side walls spaced apart from one another along an entire length of the neck, each of the pair of side walls including an inner edge and an outer edge as seen in a front side of the mask assembly adapted to face away from the patient's face in use, wherein the inner edge of one of the pair of side walls cooperates with the inner edge of the other of the pair of side walls to define an open space therebetween along the entire length of the neck that opens towards the front side of the mask assembly, wherein the pair of side walls comprise an upper converging section along an upper portion of the neck wherein the outer edge of one of the pair of side walls and the outer edge of the other of the pair of side walls converge towards one another in a downward direction, and wherein the neck includes a front edge and a rear edge as seen in side view, and the neck is structured and arranged to curve rearwardly from the lower portion towards a rear side of the mask assembly adapted to face towards the patient's face in use such that at least a portion of the front edge is convex towards the rear side of the mask assembly. 2. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the cushion includes a nasal cushion. 3. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the cushion includes a full-face cushion. 4. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising a supplemental port in communication with an interior of the mask frame and a port cap to selectively cover or expose the supplemental port. 5. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the neck is integrally molded with the lower portion. 6. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the neck is formed separately from the lower portion and selectively attachable to the lower portion. 7. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the elbow assembly includes a plurality of vent holes for gas washout. 8. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the side walls are spaced apart from one another from a lower end provided to the lower portion to an upper end provided to the forehead support assembly. 9. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the pair of side walls include a lower converging section wherein the pair of side walls converge towards one another in an upward direction. 10. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the neck includes a generally hourglass shape. 11. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the pair of side walls include a section wherein the pair of side walls are parallel to one another. 12. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein each side wall includes a radiussed curvature. 13. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the mask assembly is configured so that a relatively narrow portion of the neck is adapted to overlie the bridge of the nose or is adapted to be positioned between the eyes of the patient in use. 14. The mask assembly according to claim 13 , wherein the relatively narrow portion is a portion of the neck where a distance between the side walls is smallest. 15. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the lower portion includes clip receptacles structured to engage respective headgear clips. 16. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the forehead pad includes a pair of elastic support shafts each including a head portion resiliently squeezed into support holes positioned on the forehead support. 17. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the forehead support includes opposing ends, and each of the opposing ends includes a slotted connector portion that provides a slot to secure a headgear strap thereto. 18. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the neck includes a longitudinal length that is larger than a width of the neck as seen in front view. 19. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the inner edge and the outer edge of each of the pair of side walls define a wall thickness therebetween, and the wall thickness of each of the pair of side walls is substantially constant along an entire length of each of the pair of side walls. 20. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the upper converging section is configured and arranged such that the inner edge of one of the pair of side walls and the inner edge of the other of the pair of side walls converge towards one another in the downward direction. 21. The mask assembly according to claim 1 , wherein each outer edge in the upper converging section is concave.
