A tile saw includes a base, a frame assembly disposed on the base, a first rail disposed on the frame assembly, the first rail having a longitudinal axis. A table is slidingly disposed on the first rail and a support assembly is disposed on the base. A fence assembly is attachable to the table and has a first fence and a second fence for contacting the workpiece. The second fence is pivotably attached to the first fence and pivotable about a substantially horizontal axis. A saw assembly is supported by the support assembly and includes a motor, and a cutting wheel driven by the motor.

What is claimed is: 1. A saw comprising: a base; a frame assembly disposed on the base; a first rail disposed on the frame assembly; a table slidingly disposed on the first rail, the table having an upper surface for supporting a workpiece; a fence assembly attachable to the table, the fence assembly having: a first fence having two surfaces parallel to each other on opposite sides thereof, and extending in a direction of movement of the table, the opposite sides defining a first side and a second side and having a clamping channel therebetween, the clamping channel including a clamping surface with the two surfaces being substantially perpendicular to the clamping surface; and a second fence pivotably attached to the first fence about a substantially horizontal axis parallel to the two surfaces, the second fence having a first surface that engages the table on the first side of the first fence, and an opposing second surface that engages the table on the second side of the first fence, the second fence having a guide surface that maintains a constant angle with respect to the substantially horizontal axis and with respect to the clamping surface; a support assembly disposed on the frame assembly; and a saw assembly supported by the support assembly, the saw assembly comprising a motor, a motor housing covering the motor, and a cutting wheel driven by the motor, wherein the two surfaces of the first fence are adapted to guide the workpiece into a path of the cutting wheel. 2. The saw of claim 1 , wherein the second fence is pivotable between two positions. 3. The saw of claim 2 , wherein the second fence is substantially perpendicular to the table in the two positions. 4. The saw of claim 1 , wherein the second fence is removable from the first fence. 5. The saw of claim 1 , wherein the fence assembly further comprises a stop movably disposed on the second fence. 6. The saw of claim 1 , further comprising means for attaching the fence assembly to the table. 7. The saw of claim 1 , wherein the table comprises an integral table fence along one side thereof, to which the first fence is clamped and the second fence maintains the same angle with respect to the cutting wheel at different positions along the table fence. 8. The saw of claim 1 , wherein the guide surface constant angle is a 45 degree angle. 9. The saw of claim 1 , wherein the guide surface has a 45 degree angle with respect to adjacent surfaces of the second fence. 10. The saw of claim 1 , wherein the clamping channel extends through the two surfaces of the first fence. 11. The saw of claim 1 , wherein the second fence pivots 180 degrees about the first fence. 12. A saw comprising: a base; a frame assembly disposed on the base; a first rail disposed on the frame assembly; a table slidingly disposed on the first rail, the table having an upper surface for supporting a workpiece; a fence assembly attachable to the table, the fence assembly having: a first fence having two surfaces parallel to each other on opposite sides thereof, and extending in a direction of movement of the table, the opposite sides defining a first side and a second side and having a clamping channel therebetween, the clamping channel including a clamping surface with the two surfaces being substantially perpendicular to the clamping surface; and a second fence attached to the first fence and being repositionable about a substantially horizontal axis parallel to the two surfaces of the first fence, the second fence having a first surface that engages the table on the first side of the first fence, and an opposing second surface that engages the table on the second side of the first fence, the second fence having a guide surface that maintains a constant angle with respect to the substantially horizontal axis and with respect to the clamping surface; a support assembly disposed on the frame assembly; and a saw assembly supported by the support assembly, the saw assembly comprising a motor, a motor housing covering the motor, and a cutting wheel driven by the motor, wherein the two surfaces of the first fence are adapted to guide the workpiece into a path of the cutting wheel. 13. The saw of claim 12 , wherein the guide surface of the second fence has a 45 degree angled surface.
