A proppant discharge system has a container with an outlet positioned in a bottom thereof and a gate affixed adjacent the outlet so as to be movable between a first position covering the outlet to a second position opening the outlet, and a support structure having an actuator thereon. The container is removably positioned on the top surface of the support structure. The actuator is engageable with gate so as to move the gate from the first position to the second position. A conveyor underlies the container so as to receive proppant as discharged from the container through the outlet. The container can be a ten foot ISO container.

The invention claimed is: 1. A proppant discharge system comprising: a plurality of proppant containers, each having a bottom, a pair of sidewalls, a pair of end walls, a top, an inlet positioned in the top, an outlet positioned in the bottom, and a gate affixed adjacent the outlet and positioned within a track so as to be movable within the track between a first position covering the outlet and a second position opening the outlet, the gate having a continuous surface so as to block the outlet when the gate is in the first position; and a support structure having a top surface and at least one actuator, each of the plurality of containers being removably positioned on the top surface on the support structure, the actuator being engageable with the gate of one or more of the plurality of containers so as to move the gate from the first position to the second position. 2. The proppant discharge system of claim 1 , wherein the gate has a pin extending therefrom, the actuator having a receptacle, the pin being receivable within the receptacle. 3. The proppant discharge system of claim 2 , further comprising: a conveyor underlying the top surface of the support structure so as to receive proppant as discharged from the container through the outlet of the container. 4. The proppant discharge system of claim 3 , further comprising: one or more hoppers positioned on the support structure at an elevation below the top surface thereof, the one or more hoppers being positioned directly below the gate of one or more of the plurality of containers when positioned on the support structure, each of the one or more hoppers having an opening at a bottom thereof, the bottom of each of the one or more hoppers being positioned at an elevation above the conveyor. 5. The proppant discharge system of claim 4 , further comprising: a metering gate positioned adjacent the opening adjacent the bottom of the one or more hoppers, the metering gate being movable between a closed position and an open position. 6. The proppant discharge system of claim 5 , wherein the opening adjacent the bottom of the one or more hoppers has a plurality of slots formed therein, the metering gate having a plurality of slots formed therethrough, the plurality of slots of the metering gate being at least partially aligned with the plurality of slots of the one or more hoppers when the metering gate is in open position. 7. The proppant discharge system of claim 5 , further comprising: an actuator affixed to the metering gate so as to move the metering gate between the closed position and the open position. 8. The proppant discharge system of claim 4 , further comprising: a frame affixed to the conveyor and extending therealong; and a discharge chute cooperative with one end of the conveyor so as to discharge the proppant from the conveyor to a desired location. 9. The proppant discharge system of claim 8 , further comprising: a plurality of wheels rotatably mounted to the frame so as to allow the conveyor to be transported to a desired location. 10. The proppant discharge system of claim 1 , wherein the gate substantially centers under and covers the outlet when in the first position and offsets from and opens the outlet when in the second position, and wherein the continuous surface of the gate comprises a solid surface. 11. The proppant discharge system of claim 1 , wherein the continuous surface of the gate comprises a solid surface. 12. A proppant discharge system comprising: a plurality of proppant containers, each having a bottom, a pair of sidewalls, a pair of end walls, a top, an inlet positioned in the top, an outlet positioned in the bottom, and a gate affixed adjacent the outlet and positioned within a track so as to be movable within the track between a first position covering the outlet and a second position opening the outlet, the gate having a continuous surface so as to block the outlet when the gate is in the first position; a support structure having a top surface and at least one actuator, each of the plurality of containers being removably positioned on the top surface on the support structure, the actuator being engageable with the gate of one or more of the plurality of containers so as to move the gate along the track from the first position to the second position; one or more hoppers positioned on the support structure at an elevation below the top surface thereof, the one or more hoppers being positioned directly below the gate of one or more of the plurality of containers when positioned on the support structure, each of the one or more hoppers having an opening in a bottom thereof, and a conveyor underlying the top surface of the support structure and the one or more hoppers so as to receive proppant as discharged from the container through the outlet of the container, through the one or more hoppers, and through the opening in the bottom of the one or more hoppers, the bottom of each of the one or more hoppers being positioned at an elevation above the conveyor. 13. The proppant discharge system of claim 12 , wherein the gate substantially centers under and covers the outlet when in the first position and offsets from and opens the outlet when in the second position.
