A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium and information processing apparatuses. The medium stores instructions which, when executed by a computer, cause the computer to perform a method including automatically reading first management data from a first storage medium. The first management data identifies files of source data stored on the first storage medium. One of the files of source data is automatically identified based on the first management data and second management data. The second management data identifies files of transferred data stored on a second storage medium. The one of the files of source data is absent from the second storage medium and automatically transferred to the second storage medium. The one of the files of source data being transferred becomes one of the files of transferred data. The method further includes automatically displaying transferring status of the one of the files of source data by a symbolic figure.

The invention claimed is: 1. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions which, when executed by a computer, cause the computer to perform a method of an information processing apparatus for transferring data, the method comprising: automatically reading first management data from a first storage medium, the first management data identifying files of source data stored on the first storage medium; automatically identifying, by the computer, one of the files of source data based on the first management data and second management data, the second management data identifying files of transferred data stored on a second storage medium, the one of the files of source data being absent from the second storage medium; and automatically transferring the one of the files of source data to the second storage medium, the one of the files of source data being transferred becoming one of the files of transferred data; and automatically displaying transferring status of the one of the files of source data by a symbolic figure. 2. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1 , wherein the symbolic figure is a rectangular percentage bar. 3. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1 , wherein the symbolic figure is a circle. 4. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1 , further comprising: compressing the one of the files of source data, and wherein the compressed one of the files of source data is transferred onto the second storage medium in the automatically transferring step. 5. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1 , wherein the second management data includes at least one of an album ID, album title, and track title. 6. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises: downloading files of content data from an external server, and wherein the second management data also identifies the files of downloaded content data recorded on the second storage medium as the transferred data. 7. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1 , wherein the automatically reading and automatically identifying steps are performed when the first storage medium is loaded in, or connected to, the information processing apparatus. 8. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1 , wherein the transferring status indicates the percentage of the files of source data on the first storage medium stored in the second storage medium. 9. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1 , wherein the automatically transferring step comprises: automatically transferring a plurality of the files of source data to the second storage medium when the plurality of the files are determined not to be stored on the second storage medium in the automatically identifying step. 10. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the step of automatically transferring comprises: automatically transferring the one of the files of source data to the second storage medium of an external apparatus that is connected to the information processing apparatus via a data interface. 11. The method according to claim 10 , wherein the external apparatus includes circuitry configured to download files of content data from an external server. 12. A method of an information processing apparatus for transferring data, the method comprising: automatically reading first management data from a first storage medium, the first management data identifying files of source data recorded on the first storage medium; automatically identifying, by circuitry of the information processing apparatus, one of the files of source data based on the first management data and second management data, the second management data identifying files of transferred data stored on a second storage medium, the one of the files of source data being absent from the second storage medium; and automatically transferring the one of the files of source data to the second storage medium, the one of the files of source data being transferred becoming one of the files of transferred data; and automatically displaying transferring status of the one of the files of source data by a symbolic figure. 13. The method according to claim 12 , wherein the symbolic figure is a rectangular percentage bar. 14. The method according to claim 12 , wherein the symbolic figure is a circle. 15. The method according to claim 12 , further comprising: compressing the one of the files of source data, and wherein the compressed one of the files of source data is transferred onto the second storage medium in the automatically transferring step. 16. The method according to claim 12 , wherein the second management data includes at least one of an album ID, album title, and track title. 17. The method according to claim 12 , wherein the method further comprises: downloading files of content data from an external server, and wherein the second management data also identifies the files of downloaded content data recorded on the second storage medium as the transferred data. 18. The method according to claim 12 , wherein the automatically reading and automatically identifying steps are performed when the first storage medium is loaded in, or connected to, the information processing apparatus. 19. The method according to claim 12 , wherein the transferring status indicates the percentage of the files of source data on the first storage medium stored in the second storage medium. 20. The method according to claim 12 , wherein the automatically transferring step comprises: automatically transferring a plurality of the files of source data to the second storage medium when the plurality of the files are determined not to be stored on the second storage medium in the automatically identifying step. 21. An information processing apparatus, comprising: circuitry configured to automatically read first management data from a first storage medium, the first management data identifying files of source data stored on the first storage medium, automatically identify one of the files of source data based on the first management data and second management data, the second management data identifying files of transferred data stored on a second storage medium, the one of the files of source data being absent from the second storage medium, automatically transfer the one of the files of source data to the second storage medium, the one of the files of source data being transferred becoming one of the files of transferred data, and automatically control a display to display transferring status of the one of the files of source data by a symbolic figure; and the display configured to display the transferring status by the symbolic figure. 22. The information processing apparatus according to claim 21 , wherein the circuitry is configured to automatically transfer the one of the files of source data to the second storage medium of an external apparatus that is connected to the circuitry of the information processing apparatus via a data interface. 23. The information processing apparatus according to claim 22 , wherein the external apparatus includes circuitry configured to download files of content data from an external server. 24.
