A surgical system including an expandable device is provided, including an inflatable body and a compliant sleeve. The compliant sleeve includes a distal end, a proximal end, and a cavity extending from the proximal end to the oppositely disposed distal end configured to receive a portion of the inflatable body. The cavity is defined by an inner wall and an outer wall of the compliant sleeve. The distal end of the compliant sleeve forms a closed portion of the cavity and the proximal end includes an opening.

What is claimed is: 1. A method for performing spinal surgery comprising: accessing a vertebral body; inserting a first expandable device including a first inflatable bone tamp into the vertebral body; inflating said first inflatable bone tamp to create a first void in the vertebral body; inserting a second expandable device into the vertebral body, the second expandable device comprising a cannula and a second inflatable bone tamp positioned within a compliant sleeve, a portion of the compliant sleeve being folded within the cannula to secure the compliant sleeve to the cannula; inflating the second bone tamp to create a second void in the vertebral body; deflating the first inflatable bone tamp and removing said first expandable device from the vertebral body after inflating the second bone tamp; inserting bone void filler into at least a portion of the first void and allowing said inserted bone void filler to at least partially cure; deflating the second inflatable bone tamp and removing the second expandable inflatable bone tamp and the compliant sleeve from the vertebral body after insertion; and filling the second void with bone void filler. 2. A method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the first void is positioned contra lateral to the second void. 3. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the compliant sleeve is fabricated from a material comprising silicone, and the cannula includes a holder portion configured to secure the compliant sleeve to the cannula, a proximal end of the compliant sleeve being folded within the holder portion. 4. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the bone void filler is bone cement. 5. A method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the compliant sleeve has a u-shaped cavity. 6. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the cannula includes a holder portion configured to secure a proximal end of the compliant sleeve to the cannula, the proximal end of the compliant sleeve is folded in the holder portion following inflation of the second inflatable body. 7. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the cannula maintains a position of the compliant sleeve relative to the cannula. 8. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the cannula maintains a position and trajectory of the compliant sleeve relative to the vertebral body. 9. A method for performing spinal surgery comprising: providing an expandable device system comprising: a cannula, a first expandable device which includes a first inflatable bone tamp, a compliant sleeve along a longitudinal axis, the compliant sleeve having a cavity extending from a proximal end to an oppositely disposed distal end along the longitudinal axis, the cavity defined by an inner wall and an outer wall of the compliant sleeve, the distal end forming a closed portion of the cavity and the proximal end including an opening, the cavity being configured to receive a portion of the first inflatable bone tamp, a portion of the complaint sleeve being folded within the cannula to secure the compliant sleeve to the cannula, and a second expandable device which includes a second inflatable bone tamp; accessing a vertebral body; inserting the first expandable device into the vertebral body; inflating the first inflatable bone tamp to create a first void in the vertebral body; inserting the second expandable device into the vertebral body; inflating the second bone tamp to create a second void in the vertebral body that is larger in size than the first void; deflating the first inflatable bone tamp and removing said first expandable device from the vertebral body after inflating the second bone tamp; inserting bone void filler into at least a portion of the first void and allowing said inserted bone void filler to at least partially cure; deflating the second inflatable bone tamp and removing the second expandable inflatable bone tamp and the compliant sleeve from the vertebral body after insertion; and filling the second void with bone void filler. 10. The method as recited in claim 9 , wherein the first void is positioned contra lateral to the second void. 11. The method as recited in claim 9 , wherein the compliant sleeve is fabricated from a material comprising silicone, and the cannula includes a holder portion configured to secure the compliant sleeve to the cannula, a proximal end of the compliant sleeve being folded within the holder portion. 12. The method as recited in claim 9 , wherein the bone void filler is bone cement. 13. The method as recited in claim 9 , wherein the compliant sleeve has a u-shaped cavity. 14. The method as recited in claim 9 , wherein the cannula includes a holder portion configured to secure the proximal end of the compliant sleeve to the cannula, wherein at least a portion of the compliant sleeve is folded in the holder portion following inflation of the inflatable body. 15. The method as recited in claim 9 , wherein the compliant sleeve comprises Teflon spray or silicon oil. 16. The method as recited in claim 9 , further comprising inserting therapeutic polynucleotides or polypeptides through the expandable device system. 17. The method as recited in claim 9 , further comprising inserting biocompatible materials through the expandable device system. 18. The method as recited in claim 9 , wherein the biocompatible materials comprise rigid polymers, titanium, sterile bone materials, synthetic bone materials, calcium compositions, or biologically active agents. 19. A method for performing spinal surgery comprising: providing an expandable device system comprising: a cannula, a first expandable device which includes a first inflatable bone tamp, a compliant sleeve along a longitudinal axis, the compliant sleeve having a cavity extending from a proximal end to an oppositely disposed distal end along the longitudinal axis, the cavity defined by an inner wall and an outer wall of the compliant sleeve, the distal end forming a closed portion of the cavity and the proximal end including an opening, the cavity being configured to receive a portion of the first inflatable bone tamp, a portion of the complaint sleeve being folded within the cannula to secure the compliant sleeve to the cannula, and a second expandable device which includes a second inflatable bone tamp; accessing a vertebral body; inserting the first expandable device into the vertebral body; inflating the first inflatable bone tamp to create a first void in the vertebral body; inserting the second expandable device into the vertebral body; deflating the first inflatable bone tamp and removing said first expandable device from the vertebral body after inflating the second bone tamp; inserting a therapeutic agent into at least a portion of the first void; deflating the second inflatable bone tamp and removing the second expandable inflatable bone tamp and the compliant sleeve from the vertebral body after insertion; and filling the second void with the therapeutic agent. 20. The method as recited in claim 19 , wherein the therapeutic agent comprises polynucleotides, polypeptides, or biocompatible materials.
