What is claimed is: 1. A polysaccharide film comprising a film-forming substance, wherein the film forming substance consists essentially of α(1→3)-glucan, wherein at least 90% of the α(1→3)-glucan consist of hexose units and at least 50% of the hexose units are linked via α(1→3)-glycosidic bonds. 2. The polysaccharide film according to claim 1 , wherein the film is oriented at least in one dimension.
