The invention claimed is: 1. A tool head for use with a main body in a modular tool, the tool head having a central longitudinal axis about which the tool head rotates during operation, the tool head comprising: at least a first preform and a second preform, and a duct system for a cooling lubricant, wherein the first preform and the second preform are made from granular materials and are jointly compressed and sintered together to form an integral bond along a connecting zone, wherein the first preform comprises a cutter end disposed opposite the connecting zone, the cutter end being structured to engage a workpiece; wherein the second preform comprises a coupling end having a coupling structure disposed opposite the connecting zone, the coupling structure being structured to engage a complementary shaped structure of the main body for coupling the tool head to the main body in a releasable manner; wherein the connecting zone runs approximately perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis of the tool head and does not extend into the first preform at the central longitudinal axis; wherein the duct system comprises a straight duct portion in the second preform, and at least one distributor chamber that lies in the connecting zone between the first preform and second preform, wherein the straight duct portion leads into the at least one distributor chamber, and the at least one distributor chamber has a larger diameter than the straight duct portion. 2. The tool head of claim 1 , wherein the first preform consists of a different material than the second preform. 3. The tool head of claim 1 , wherein the coupling structure comprises a thread structured to engage a corresponding thread of the main body. 4. The tool head of claim 1 , wherein the cutter end includes at least one outlet opening for the cooling lubricant, the at least one outlet opening being connected by the duct system to at least one inlet opening for the cooling lubricant on the coupling end. 5. The tool head of claim 4 , wherein the at least one outlet opening consist of one of either a round, an oval, or a polygonal opening geometry. 6. The tool head of claim 4 , wherein the at least one outlet opening includes at least two outlet openings which are connected by the duct system to a common inlet opening on the coupling end. 7. The tool head of claim 6 , wherein the duct system further comprises straight subduct portions disposed in the first preform. 8. The tool head of claim 7 , wherein: the at least one distributor chamber is in communication with the straight subduct portions disposed in the first preform and the straight duct portion that is disposed in the second preform; and the at least one distributor chamber has a larger diameter than the straight subduct portions disposed in the first preform. 9. The tool head of claim 6 , wherein the at least one distributor chamber branches into a plurality of subducts. 10. The tool head of claim 1 , wherein the connecting zone comprises one or more conical regions. 11. The tool head of claim 1 , wherein the connecting zone has a major dimension which runs perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis and a minor dimension which runs parallel with respect to the central longitudinal axis, the major dimension being greater than the minor dimension. 12. The tool head of claim 1 , wherein the second preform does not protrude into the first preform at the central longitudinal axis. 13. The tool head of claim 12 , wherein the first preform does not apply a compressive radial force with respect to the second preform. 14. A tool head for use with a main body in a modular tool, the tool head having a central longitudinal axis about which the tool head rotates during operation, the tool head comprising: at least a first preform and a second preform, the first preform comprising a cutter end structured to engage a workpiece, and the second preform comprising a coupling end having a coupling structure structured to engage a complementary shaped structure of the main body for coupling the tool head to the main body in a releasable manner; wherein the first preform and the second preform are made from granular materials and jointly compressed and sintered together to form an integral bond along a connecting zone; wherein the cutter end of the first preform is disposed opposite the connecting zone; wherein the coupling end of the second preform is disposed opposite the connecting zone; wherein the cutter end includes at least two outlet openings for a cooling lubricant, which outlet openings are connected by a branched duct system to a common inlet opening for the cooling lubricant on the coupling end, the branched duct system comprising straight duct portions disposed in each of the first preform and the second preform; wherein the branched duct system comprises a distributor chamber, and the straight duct portions comprise a plurality of subducts; wherein the distributor chamber branches into the plurality of subducts, and lies in the connecting zone between the first preform and the second preform, the distributor chamber having a larger diameter than each of the outlet openings and the inlet opening; wherein the first preform has an end face disposed opposite the cutting end and at the connecting zone; and the distributor chamber has an inlet for the cooling lubricant disposed axially away from the cutter end of the first preform with respect to the central longitudinal axis, and where the inlet is flush with the end face of the first preform. 15. The tool head of claim 14 , wherein the first preform consists of a different material than the second preform. 16. The tool head of claim 14 , wherein the coupling structure comprises a thread structured to engage a corresponding thread of the main body. 17. The tool head of claim 14 , wherein at least one of the outlet openings consist of one of either a round, an oval, or a polygonal opening geometry. 18. The tool head of claim 14 , wherein the connecting zone comprises one or more conical regions. 19. The tool head of claim 14 , wherein the second preform does not protrude into the first preform at the central longitudinal axis.
