A dialysis system includes a dialysis machine including at least one dialysis fluid pump and a logic implementer configured to (i) receive a plurality of predetermined therapy prescriptions that have been approved remote from the dialysis machine by a doctor/clinician for a particular patient, at least two of the plurality of predetermined therapy prescriptions having different treatment durations, different dialysis fluids or different ultrafiltration removal amounts, (ii) store the plurality of predetermined therapy prescriptions for use in operating the dialysis machine, (iii) cause the stored therapy prescriptions to be presented, (iv) allow a selection of one or more of the presented therapy prescriptions for one or more upcoming treatment, and (v) operate the at least one dialysis fluid pump according to the selected one or more therapy prescriptions.

The invention claimed is: 1. A dialysis system comprising: a dialysis machine including at least one pump configured to pump dialysis fluid; and a logic implementer configured to control the amount of dialysis fluid pumped by the at least one pump, logic implementer configured to (i) receive a plurality of predetermined therapy prescriptions that have been approved remote from the dialysis machine by a doctor/clinician for a particular patient, at least two of the plurality of predetermined therapy prescriptions having different total treatment durations, (ii) store the plurality of predetermined therapy prescriptions for use in operating the dialysis machine, (iii) cause the stored therapy prescriptions to be presented, and (iv) allow a selection of (a) a presented first total treatment duration therapy prescription from the plurality of presented therapy prescriptions to be performed for an upcoming treatment or (b) the presented first total treatment duration therapy prescription from the plurality of presented therapy prescriptions to be performed for an upcoming treatment and a presented second total treatment duration therapy prescription from the plurality of presented therapy prescriptions to be performed for at least one subsequent treatment, and wherein the at least one pump of the dialysis machine is thereafter operated based upon the selected first or second total treatment duration therapy prescription. 2. The dialysis system of claim 1 , wherein causing the stored therapy prescriptions to be presented includes configuring the logic implementer to display the therapy prescriptions simultaneously on a screen. 3. The dialysis system of claim 2 , wherein the screen is a screen of the dialysis machine. 4. The dialysis system of claim 1 , wherein causing the stored therapy prescriptions to be presented includes configuring the logic implementer to display the therapy prescriptions on a screen of the dialysis machine. 5. The dialysis system of claim 1 , wherein the logic implementer includes processing and memory provided by the dialysis machine. 6. The dialysis system of claim 1 , wherein the logic implementer is configured to receive the plurality of predetermined therapy prescriptions over a network. 7. The dialysis system of claim 1 , wherein the therapy prescriptions are peritoneal dialysis therapy prescriptions. 8. The dialysis system of claim 1 , wherein the total treatment durations encompass multiple peritoneal dialysis exchanges. 9. A dialysis system comprising: a dialysis machine including at least one pump configured to pump dialysis fluid; and a logic implementer configured to control the amount of dialysis fluid pumped by the at least one pump, the logic implementer configured to (i) receive a plurality of predetermined therapy prescriptions that have been approved remote from the dialysis machine by a doctor/clinician for a particular patient, at least two of the plurality of predetermined therapy prescriptions specifying different dialysis fluids, (ii) store the plurality of predetermined therapy prescriptions for use in operating the dialysis machine, (iii) cause the stored therapy prescriptions to be presented, and (iv) allow a selection of (a) a presented first dialysis fluid therapy prescription from the plurality of presented therapy prescriptions to be performed for an upcoming treatment or (b) the presented first dialysis fluid therapy prescription from the plurality of presented therapy prescriptions to be performed for an upcoming treatment and a presented second dialysis fluid therapy prescription from the plurality of presented therapy prescriptions to be performed for at least one subsequent treatment, and wherein the at least one pump of the dialysis machine is thereafter operated based upon the selected first or second dialysis fluid therapy prescription. 10.
