What is claimed is: 1. An absorbent core structure for an absorbent article, the absorbent core structure comprising a first layer, the first layer comprising a first layer first surface and a first layer second surface, the absorbent core structure further comprising a layer of absorbent polymer material, the layer of absorbent polymer material comprising a layer of absorbent polymer material first surface and a layer of absorbent polymer material second surface, the absorbent core structure further comprising a layer of adhesive, the layer of adhesive comprising a layer of adhesive first surface and a layer of adhesive second surface, wherein the layer of absorbent polymer material is comprised between the layer of adhesive and the first layer; the layer of absorbent polymer material second surface is facing the first layer first surface; and the layer of absorbent polymer material first surface is facing the layer of adhesive second surface, the absorbent core structure further comprises a second layer having respective first and second surface, positioned such that the second layer second surface is facing the layer of adhesive first surface, wherein the absorbent core is combined with an acquisition layer wherein the absorbent core is characterized in that the first layer of the absorbent core structure has a thickness of 0.4 mm to 1.5 mm, and the second layer of the absorbent core structure has a Permeability of at least 200 Darcy and a Porosity of at least 0.85; wherein the core exhibits a rewet of less than 0.19 grams. 2. The absorbent core of claim 1 , wherein the acquisition layer comprises fibrous nonwoven materials, carded nonwoven materials, or combinations thereof. 3. An absorbent core structure according to claim 1 , having an overall thickness from 0.5 mm to 2.5 mm. 4. An absorbent core structure according to claim 1 , having an overall thickness from 1 mm to 2 mm. 5. An absorbent core structure according to claim 1 , wherein the layer of absorbent polymer material has a basis weight of less than 250 g/m 2 . 6. An absorbent core structure according to claim 1 , wherein the layer of absorbent polymer material has a basis weight of less than 200 g/m 2 . 7. An absorbent core structure according to claim 1 , wherein the layer of absorbent polymer material has a basis weight from 60 g/m 2 to 180 g/m 2 . 8. An absorbent core structure according to claim 1 , wherein the layer of absorbent polymer material has a basis weight from 70 g/m 2 to 150 g/m 2 . 9. An absorbent core structure according to claim 1 , wherein the first layer has a basis weight of 10 g/m 2 to 120 g/m 2 . 10. An absorbent core structure according to claim 1 , wherein the first layer has a basis weight from 20 g/m 2 to 100 g/m 2 . 11. An absorbent core structure according to claim 1 , wherein the first layer has a basis weight from 30 g/m 2 to about 70 g/m 2 . 12. An absorbent core structure according to claim 1 , wherein the second layer has a basis weight of 10 g/m 2 to 80 g/m 2 . 13. An absorbent core structure according to claim 1 , wherein the second layer has a basis weight from 10 g/m 2 to 60 g/m 2 . 14. An absorbent core structure according to claim 1 , wherein the adhesive is a hot melt adhesive. 15. An absorbent core structure according to claim 1 , wherein the adhesive is fiberized, comprising fibres having an average thickness from 1 μm to 100 μm and an average length from 5 mm to 50 cm. 16. An absorbent core structure according to claim 15 , wherein the fibres have an average thickness from 25 μm to 75 μm. 17. An absorbent core structure according to claim 1 , wherein the adhesive is provided in a basis weight of from 11 g/m 2 to 3 g/m 2 . 18. An absorbent core structure according to claim 1 , wherein the layer of absorbent polymer material second surface is in contact with the first layer first surface; the layer of absorbent polymer material first surface is in contact with the layer of adhesive second surface; the second layer second surface is in contact with the layer of adhesive first surface. 19. The absorbent feminine hygiene product according to claim 18 , wherein the absorbent feminine hygiene product is a sanitary napkin. 20. An absorbent feminine hygiene product comprising the absorbent core structure according to claim 1 .
