Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A method of receiving and processing a Non-Real Time (NRT) service and a broadcast receiver are disclosed herein. A method of processing an NRT service in a broadcast receiver includes receiving and processing a signaling information table including detail information of each content in the NRT service and indication information indicating whether the content is available on internet, acquiring internet access information of each file belonging to content available on the internet through File Delivery Table (FDT) of File Delivery over Unidirection Transport (FLUTE) based on the indication information, and downloading files belonging to the content by accessing the internet based on the acquired internet access information.

What is claimed is: 1. A method of transmitting a non-real time service, the method comprising: generating, by a generator, a broadcast signal which carries internet protocol (IP) datagrams, the IP datagrams containing the non-real time service that is delivered in advance of its use and stored in a receiving device, first signaling data which includes service category information identifying the non-real time service, and second signaling data; and transmitting, by a transmitter, the broadcast signal, wherein the non-real time service is associated with one or more content items, each of which consists of one or more files, the one or more files being delivered based on LCT protocol, wherein each of the delivery sessions includes one or more LCT channels, wherein all of the LCT channels in each of the delivery sessions have a same IP address and numbered user datagram protocol (UDP) ports signaled in the second signaling data, and wherein the first signaling data includes information for acquiring service guide information, the service guide information announcing content and service being delivered. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein one delivery session of the delivery sessions transmits a description table that includes a transfer object identifier (TOI) identifying a transport object which includes a file transmitted through the delivery session, content location information identifying a location of the file and content linkage information linking with the content fragment included in the first signaling information. 3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the content fragment of the first signaling information includes a content linkage element mapping the content linkage information included in the description table to identify that the one or more files carried on the delivery session belong to content items for the non-real time service. 4. The method of claim 3 , wherein the IP datagrams further include the second signaling data which contains service-level attributes for the non-real time service; service. 5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the second signaling data includes first information indicating that a category of a service is a non-real time service. 6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the second signaling data further includes second information containing not only IP addresses and UDP ports but also transport session identifiers (TSIs) of the delivery sessions. 7. The method of claim 6 , wherein each file associated with the content item represented by the content fragment has a tag in the description table, the tag matching a value of the information which is included in the content fragment. 8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the description table includes information indicating an attribute that identifies the file as an entry point of the content item identified by the parameter, the entry point is presented initially the file of the content item by the receiving device. 9. An apparatus of transmitting a non-real time service, the apparatus comprising: a generator configured to generate internet protocol (IP) datagrams, the IP datagrams containing the non-real time service that is delivered in advance of its use and stored in a receiving device, first signaling data which includes service category information identifying the non-real time service, and second signaling data; and a transmitter configured to transmit the broadcast signal containing the generated IP datagrams, wherein the non-real time service is associated with one or more content items, each of which consists of one or more files, the one or more files being delivered based on LCT protocol, wherein each of the delivery sessions includes one or more LCT channels, wherein all of the LCT channels in each of the delivery sessions have a same IP address and numbered user datagram protocol (UDP) ports signaled in the second signaling data, and wherein the first signaling data includes information for acquiring service guide information, the service guide information announcing content and service being delivered. 10. The apparatus of claim 9 , wherein one delivery session of the delivery sessions transmits a description table that includes a transfer object identifier (TOI) identifying a transport object which includes a file transmitted through the delivery session, content location information identifying a location of the file and content linkage information linking with the content fragment included in the first signaling information. 11. The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the content fragment of the first signaling information includes a content linkage element mapping the content linkage information included in the description table to identify that the one or more files carried on the delivery session belong to content items for the non-real time service. 12. The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the IP datagrams further include the second signaling data which contains service-level attributes for the non-real time service. 13. The apparatus of claim 12 , wherein the second signaling data includes first information indicating that a category of a service is a non-real time service. 14. The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the second signaling data further includes second information containing not only IP addresses and UDP ports but also transport session identifiers (TSIs) of the delivery sessions. 15. The apparatus of claim 14 , wherein each file associated with the content item represented by the content fragment has a tag in the description table, the tag matching a value of the information which is included in the content fragment. 16. The apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the generator further generates information indicating an attribute that identifies the file as an entry point of the content item identified by the parameter, the entry point is presented initially the file of the content item by the receiving device from the description table.
