Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

To obtain a thermal flow meter capable of alleviating stress in an axial direction that acts on a lead according to a temperature difference between a proximal end side and a leading end portion side of a measuring portion. An air flow sensing portion 300 according to the present invention includes a bypass passage for flowing a measurement target gas 30 received from a main passage 124 , and an air flow sensing portion 602 for measuring a flow rate of the measurement target gas 30 by performing heat transfer with the measurement target gas 30 flowing through the bypass passage via a heat transfer surface, and the thermal flow meter includes a circuit package 400 in which the air flow sensing portion 602 and a lead 514 are sealed by a first resin molding process and a housing 302 forming a part of the bypass passage and fixing the circuit package 400 by a second resin molding process. The lead 514 has an outer lead 412 fixed to the housing 302 and protruding from the circuit package 400 , and a bent portion 416 having a bent shape is provided on the outer lead 412.

The invention claimed is: 1. A thermal flow meter including a bypass passage for flowing a measurement target gas received from a main passage, and an air flow sensing portion for measuring a flow rate of the measurement target gas by performing heat transfer with the measurement target gas flowing through the bypass passage via a heat transfer surface, the thermal flow meter comprising: a circuit package molded by a first resin in which the air flow sensing portion and a lead connected to the air flow sensing portion are sealed; and a housing forming a part of the bypass passage and fixing the circuit package, the housing being molded by another resin, different than the first resin, wherein the lead has an outer lead fixed to the housing and protruding from the circuit package so as to connect to an inner end of a connection terminal of the circuit package, and a bent portion having a bent shape is provided on the outer lead. 2. The thermal flow meter according to claim 1 , comprising a connector terminal penetrating through the housing, wherein an inner end of the connector terminal faces the outer lead, and an outer end of the connector terminal is arranged outside of the housing, and the outer lead and the inner end of the connector terminal are connected. 3. The thermal flow meter according to claim 2 , wherein the housing has a measuring portion of which proximal end portion is fixed to an intake tube constituting the main passage and of which a leading end portion is protruding into the main passage, wherein the connector terminal is provided at the proximal end portion of the measuring portion, and the circuit package is arranged at the leading end portion of the measuring portion. 4. The thermal flow meter according to claim 3 , wherein a connection between the outer lead and the inner end of the connector terminal is provided at an inner side of the main passage with respect to the intake tube. 5. The thermal flow meter according to claim 1 , wherein the outer lead has a connector terminal penetrating through the housing, and wherein an outer end of the outer lead is arranged outside of the housing. 6. The thermal flow meter according to claim 1 , wherein the bent portion is formed to be bent in a lead thickness direction. 7. The thermal flow meter according to claim 1 , wherein the bent portion is bent in a lead width direction. 8. The thermal flow meter according to claim 2 , wherein the outer lead has a thickness thinner than an inner thickness of the connector terminal.
