Opening claim text (preview).
What is claimed is: 1. A kit comprising: an implantable medical device comprising a polymer and optionally comprising a device antioxidant; a primary package with an interior, an interior surface and an exterior surface, the primary package comprising a second antioxidant, which may be the same as or different from the device antioxidant; and a secondary package with an interior and an interior surface, the secondary package being impermeable or substantially impermeable to the second antioxidant; wherein the implantable medical device is sealed inside the primary package, and a fluid filling the interior of the primary package comprises at least 0.001 μg/cm 3 of the second antioxidant; wherein the primary package is sealed within the secondary package; and wherein the primary package is permeable to the second antioxidant. 2. The kit of claim 1 , wherein a carrier comprising the second antioxidant is sealed within the primary package, the primary package interior surface is at least partially coated with a material comprising the second antioxidant, the second antioxidant is integrated with the primary package, or a combination thereof. 3. The kit of claim 1 , wherein a carrier comprising the second antioxidant is sealed within the primary package, a carrier comprising the second antioxidant is sealed within the secondary package, the primary package exterior surface is at least partially coated with a material comprising the second antioxidant, the secondary package interior surface is at least partially coated with a material comprising the second antioxidant, the second antioxidant is integrated into the primary package, the second antioxidant is integrated into the secondary package, or any combination thereof. 4. The kit of claim 1 , wherein the implantable medical device is a stent. 5. The kit of claim 4 , wherein the stent is a bioabsorbable stent. 6. The kit of claim 3 , wherein a carrier comprising the second antioxidant is sealed within the primary package, a carrier comprising the second antioxidant is sealed within the secondary package, or a combination thereof. 7. The kit of claim 3 , wherein the primary package exterior surface is at least partially coated with a material comprising the second antioxidant, the secondary package interior surface is at least partially coated with a material comprising the second antioxidant, or a combination thereof. 8. The kit of claim 3 , wherein the second antioxidant is integrated into the primary package, the second antioxidant is integrated into the secondary package, or a combination thereof. 9. The kit of claim 1 , wherein the second antioxidant is solid and is placed inside the secondary package. 10. The kit of claim 1 , wherein the fluid filling the primary package is an inert gas. 11. The kit of claim 10 , wherein the inert gas is argon, nitrogen, helium, or a combination thereof. 12. The kit of claim 1 , wherein the second antioxidant is butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), or a combination thereof. 13. The kit of claim 3 , wherein the second antioxidant is butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), or a combination thereof. 14. The kit of claim 6 , wherein the second antioxidant is butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), or a combination thereof. 15. The kit of claim 7 , wherein the second antioxidant is butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), or a combination thereof. 16. The kit of claim 8 , wherein the second antioxidant is butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), or a combination thereof. 17. The kit of claim 9 , wherein the second antioxidant is butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), or a combination thereof.
