Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A sheet-shaped mold position detection device 183 for conveying and positioning a sheet-shaped mold M on which a fine transfer pattern M 1 is formed. The sheet-shaped mold position dejection device 183 includes a sheet-shaped mold position detector 191 that detects a predetermined region of the sheet-shaped mold M by detecting transmittance of light in the sheet-shaped mold M.

First claim

The invention claimed is: 1. A sheet-shaped mold position detection device comprising: a sheet-shaped mold position detector configured to: receive light from a fixed position in a region through which a sheet-shaped mold passes, the sheet-shaped mold comprising a transfer pattern forming area on which the fine transfer pattern is formed and a transfer pattern non-forming area on which the fine transfer pattern is not formed; and detect, at the fixed position, a change over time of transmittance or reflection of light in the sheet-shaped mold caused by a movement of a predetermined region of the sheet-shaped mold to the fixed position in a conveyance of the sheet-shaped mold to the region by detecting a difference in the transmittance of the light or a difference in the reflectance of the light between the transfer pattern forming area and the transfer pattern non-forming area, thereby detecting the predetermined region of the sheet-shaped mold. 2. A sheet-shaped mold position detection device comprising: a sheet-shaped mold position detector configured to: receive light from a fixed position in a region through which a sheet-shaped mold passes; and detect, at the fixed position, a change over time of transmittance or reflectance of light in the sheet-shaped mold caused by a movement of the predetermined region to the fixed position in a conveyance of the sheet-shaped mold to the region by detecting an edge line created at a time of forming a fine transfer pattern on the sheet-shaped mold, thereby detecting a predetermined region of the sheet-shaped mold.
