Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

The embodiment provides a vehicle control unit including a torque increment setting module related to a drive source brake torque control and an anti-lock braking control module related to an anti-lock braking control. The torque increment setting modules includes a first setting module and a second setting module. The first setting module sets the torque increment based on at least a slip amount of a wheel when the drive source brake torque control is in execution but the anti-lock braking control is not executed. The second setting module sets the torque increment based on a parameter other than the slip amount when both the drive source brake torque control and the anti-lock braking control are in execution.

First claim

The invention claimed is: 1. A vehicle control unit including: a torque increment setting module which sets a torque increment to be used in a drive source brake torque control in which a drive source is controlled based on the torque increment to thereby exert a drive source brake torque from the drive source to a wheel; and an anti-lock braking control module which executes an anti-lock braking control in which a brake pressure exerted on the wheel is controlled, wherein the torque increment setting modules includes: a first setting module which sets the torque increment based on at least a slip amount of the wheel when the drive source brake torque control is in execution but the anti-lock braking control is not executed; and a second setting module which sets the torque increment based on a parameter other than the slip amount when both the drive source brake torque control and the anti-lock braking control are in execution. 2. The vehicle control unit of claim 1 , wherein the second setting module sets the torque increment to a first set value so that a magnitude of the drive source brake torque becomes greater than 0, when the parameter satisfies a predetermined condition, and to a second set value which is greater than the first set value, when the parameter does not satisfy the predetermined condition. 3. The vehicle control unit of claim 2 , wherein the parameter includes a road surface friction coefficient, and wherein the predetermined condition includes a condition that the road surface friction coefficient is equal to or greater than a first threshold. 4. The vehicle control unit of claim 2 , wherein the parameter includes a body speed, and wherein the predetermined condition includes a condition that the body speed is less than a second threshold. 5. The vehicle control unit of claim 2 , wherein the parameter includes the brake pressure, and wherein the predetermined condition includes a condition that the brake pressure is less than a third threshold. 6. The vehicle control unit of claim 1 , wherein the first setting module includes: a first torque increment setting module which sets an initial value of the torque increment, the initial value of the torque increment being set based on a road surface friction coefficient, the road surface friction coefficient being estimated based on a parameter other than a body speed; and a second torque increment setting module which sets a current value of the torque increment after the initial value has been set, the current value of the torque increment being set based on the previous value of the torque increment and a change in the slip amount.
