The invention claimed is: 1. A PD-1 antibody obtainable from the hybridoma accessible under CNCM deposit number I-4122 or a derivative thereof having the same CDRs as the PD-1 antibody obtainable from the hybridoma accessible under CNCM deposit number I-4122. 2. A method of blocking the activity of PD-1 in a cell comprising contacting said cell with a PD-1 antibody according to claim 1 , wherein said PD-1 antibody blocks the interaction of said PD-1 with PD-L1. 3. A method of blocking the activity of PD-1 in a cell comprising contacting said cell with a PD-1 antibody according to claim 1 , wherein said PD-1 antibody blocks the interaction of said PD-1 with PD-L2. 4. The method of claim 2 wherein said cell is in a human or animal subject. 5. The method of claim 3 wherein said cell is in a human or animal subject.
