The invention claimed is: 1. A beverage brewing cup comprising: a bowl, a spout, a brim, a plurality of lugs, and a lug support rim; wherein the bowl includes a bowl floor and a bowl side wall, the bowl side wall extends from the bowl floor toward the brim, and the bowl floor and the bowl side wall together define an interior region of the bowl; wherein the spout forms an interior region and coupled to the bowl to place the interior region of the spout in fluid communication with the interior region of the bowl; wherein the brim is coupled to a top edge of the bowl and a top edge of the spout, and the brim forms an opening into the interior region of the bowl and the spout; wherein the brim includes an outer rim having a first upwardly facing surface and an inner rim having a second upwardly facing surface, wherein the second upwardly facing surface of the inner rim is spaced apart from and entirely below the first upwardly facing surface of the outer rim; wherein each lug of the plurality of lugs is arranged in spaced-apart relationship, coupled to the bowl side wall, and extends outwardly away from the bowl side wall and the interior region of the bowl; wherein the lug support rim is configured to abut the lugs of a second beverage brewing cup and maintain the respective lug support rims in spaced apart relationship when the bowl floor and at least a portion of the bowl of the second beverage brewing cup is inserted into the interior region of the bowl; and wherein a downwardly facing surface of the inner rim and a downwardly facing surface of the outer rim line lie in the same plane. 2. The beverage brewing cup of claim 1 , wherein the bowl side wall has a uniform thickness. 3. The beverage brewing cup of claim 2 , wherein the bowl floor and the spout have a uniform thickness that is about the thickness of the bowl side wall. 4. The beverage brewing cup of claim 1 , wherein the bowl side wall further includes a series of radially inwardly extending ribs extending radially inwardly into the interior region of the bowl and each of the ribs is hollow to define a plurality of rib interior regions that are separated from the interior region of the bowl and open away from the interior region of the bowl. 5. The beverage brewing cup of claim 4 , wherein the ribs have a uniform thickness about the thickness of the bowl side wall. 6. The beverage brewing cup of claim 1 , wherein a pair of consecutive lugs in the plurality of lugs is separated by a central included angle of about 60 degrees. 7. The beverage brewing cup of claim 1 , wherein each lug is teardrop shaped and includes a peak that is narrow relative to a base of the lug and also includes side edges that extend and diverge from the narrow peak to the base. 8. The beverage brewing cup of claim 1 , wherein the bowl has a substantially circular cross section. 9. The beverage brewing cup of claim 1 , further comprising a grinds carrier including a bag-supporting panel and a filter bag coupled to an underside of the bag-supporting panel, and wherein a perimeter portion of the bag-supporting panel has an underside mating with the radially inner rim and an exterior side edge arranged to confront and be surrounded by the radially outer rim. 10. The beverage brewing cup of claim 1 , wherein the bowl side wall includes a panel arranged to extend from the bowl floor to the lug support rim, a lower portion of each lug is coupled to the panel, and an upper portion of each lug is coupled to the lug support rim. 11. The beverage brewing cup of claim 10 , wherein each of the lugs is hollow and is formed to include an interior region aligned in fluid communication with the interior region of the bowl. 12. The beverage brewing cup of claim 10 , wherein each of the panel and the lugs has a uniform thickness and the uniform thicknesses are about equal to one another. 13. A beverage brewing cup comprising: a bowl having a central axis, the bowl having a proximal end and a distal end, the bowl being narrower at the distal end than the proximal end, and the bowl forming an interior bowl region; a bowl floor enclosing the distal end of the bowl, the bowl floor having a diameter less than a diameter of the proximal end of the bowl; a spout coupled to the bowl, extending longitudinally at least partially in a direction parallel to the central axis of the bowl from a proximal end of the spout to a distal end of the spout, and forming an interior spout region, the interior spout region in fluid communication with the interior bowl region; the bowl having an opening adjacent the proximal end of the bowl, and the spout having an opening adjacent the proximal end of the spout; a brim coupled to the proximal ends of the bowl and the spout, the brim forming a border around the openings of the bowl and the spout; wherein the brim includes a radially outer rim and a radially inner rim in relation to the central axis of the bowl, the radially outer rim and the radially inner rim being in spaced apart relationship in a direction substantially parallel to the central axis, wherein the radially inner rim is interposed between the radially outer rim and the proximal ends of the bowl and the spout; and a plurality of lugs extending radially outwardly from the bowl, each lug of the plurality of lugs being in spaced apart relationship to each other and configured to abut the radially inner rim of a second beverage brewing cup when the beverage brewing cup is inserted at least partially into the second beverage brewing cup; and wherein a downwardly facing surface of the inner rim and a downwardly facing surface of the outer rim line lie in the same plane. 14. The beverage brewing cup of claim 13 , wherein the lugs are each spaced apart approximately equally. 15. The beverage brewing cup of claim 14 , wherein the plurality of lugs comprises six lugs each spaced approximately 60 degrees apart measured center to center. 16. The beverage brewing cup of claim 13 , wherein the lugs extend upwardly in a direction away from the bowl floor to the radially inner rim. 17. The beverage brewing cup of claim 13 , further comprising a plurality of radially inwardly extending ribs forming at least one channel. 18. The beverage brewing cup of claim 13 , wherein the bowl is generally frustoconical. 19. The beverage brewing cup of claim 13 , wherein the cup is substantially formed of plastic. 20. The beverage brewing cup of claim 13 , wherein the opening of the bowl and opening of the spout are substantially coplanar.
