The invention claimed is: 1. A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprising: a positive electrode that contains a positive electrode active substance having a hollow structure, which has a shell portion and a hollow portion formed inside the shell portion; a negative electrode; a separator disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; and a heat-resistant barrier layer disposed between the positive electrode and the separator, wherein the heat-resistant barrier layer is provided on an entire surface of the separator. 2. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to claim 1 , wherein a particle porosity of the positive electrode active substance is 15% or higher. 3. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to claim 1 , wherein a thickness of the shell portion of the positive electrode active substance is 2 μm or lower. 4. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to claim 1 , wherein a thickness of the heat-resistant barrier layer is 2 μm or higher. 5. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to claim 1 , wherein the separator is constituted from a polyolefin-based resin. 6. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to claim 1 , wherein the heat-resistant barrier layer contains a filler as a main component, and the filler is at least one type of material selected from among the group consisting of alumina, boehmite, silica, titania, zirconia, calcia and magnesia. 7. A vehicle equipped with the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to claim 1 .
