A medical fluid pneumatic manifold system includes a plurality of pump and valve chambers for controlling a flow of medical fluid, a header including a plurality of pneumatic passageways, each passageway in pneumatic communication with one of the pump or valve chambers, a plurality of electrically actuated pneumatic valves, and a plate defining a plurality of pneumatic apertures, wherein the header and the plurality of electrically actuated pneumatic valves are separately attached to the plate, such that each pneumatic aperture in the plate is placed in pneumatic communication with one of the plurality of pneumatic passageways of the header and one of the electrically actuated pneumatic valves.

The invention is claimed as follows: 1. A medical fluid pneumatic manifold system comprising: a plurality of pump and valve chambers for controlling a flow of medical fluid; a header including a plurality of pneumatic passageways, each passageway in pneumatic communication with one of the pump or valve chambers; a plurality of electrically actuated pneumatic valves; and a plate defining a plurality of pneumatic apertures, wherein the header and the plurality of electrically actuated pneumatic valves are separately attached to a same side of the plate, such that each pneumatic aperture in the plate is placed in pneumatic communication with one of the plurality of pneumatic passageways of the header and one of the electrically actuated pneumatic valves. 2. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 1 , wherein an o-ring seal is provided with each of the apertures for airtight connection with one of the pneumatic passageways of the header. 3. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 2 , which includes at least one fastener for holding the header to the plate to compress each of the o-ring seals. 4. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 2 , wherein the apertures are accompanied by o-ring grooves defined by the plate for receiving the o-ring seals. 5. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 1 , wherein the plate includes internal passageways in fluid communication with the pneumatic apertures. 6. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of electrically actuated pneumatic valves are attached to a printed circuit board and the printed circuit board is attached to the plate. 7. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 1 , wherein the header is attached directly to the plate. 8. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 1 , wherein the pump and valve chambers include pneumatically controlled flexible membranes. 9. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of pneumatic passageways are in pneumatic communication with at least one pneumatic reservoir. 10. A medical fluid pneumatic manifold system comprising: a plurality of pump and valve chambers for controlling a flow of medical fluid; a header including a plurality of pneumatic passageways and a plurality of tubing connections, each tubing connection configured to place one of the pneumatic passageways in pneumatic communication with one of the pump or valve chambers; a plurality of electrically actuated pneumatic valves; and a plate defining a plurality of pneumatic apertures, each pneumatic aperture in pneumatic communication with one of the plurality of the pneumatic passageways of the header and one of the plurality of electrically actuated pneumatic valves, and wherein the header and the plurality of electrically actuated pneumatic valves are located on a same side of the plate. 11. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 10 , wherein an o-ring seal is provided with each of the apertures for airtight connection with one of the pneumatic passageways of the header. 12. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 10 , wherein the plurality of tubing connections project outwardly from the header. 13. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 10 , wherein the plurality of tubing connections receive pneumatic tubing extending so as to communicate pneumatically with the pump and valve chambers. 14. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 10 , wherein the header is a first header, and which includes a second header including a plurality of second pneumatic passageways and a plurality of second tubing connections, each second tubing connection configured to place one of the second pneumatic passageways in pneumatic communication with a pressure transducer. 15. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 14 , wherein the first header and the second header are attached separately to the plate. 16. A medical fluid pneumatic manifold system comprising: a first header including a first plurality of pneumatic passageways; a second header including a second plurality of pneumatic passageways; a plurality of electrically actuated pneumatic valves; and a plate defining a plurality of pneumatic apertures, each pneumatic aperture in pneumatic communication with one of the plurality of electrically actuated pneumatic valves, the plate further providing each of the apertures with an o-ring seal for airtight connection between the apertures and the first or second pneumatic passageways. 17. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 16 , which includes a plurality of pump and valve chambers controlling a flow of medical fluid, and wherein each of the first and second pneumatic passageways is in pneumatic communication with one of the pump or valve chambers. 18. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 16 , wherein each of the pneumatic apertures and o-ring seals is located between the plate and one of the first or second headers. 19. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 16 , wherein the first and second headers are compressed to in turn compress the o-ring seals to the plate. 20. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 16 , wherein each aperture is associated with an o-ring groove for accepting one of the o-ring seals. 21. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 16 , wherein the plurality of electrically actuated pneumatic valves are attached to a same side of the plate as at least one of the first and second headers. 22. A medical fluid pneumatic manifold system comprising: a plurality of pump and valve chambers for controlling a flow of medical fluid; a first header including a plurality of first pneumatic passageways and a plurality of first tubing connections, each tubing connection configured to place one of the pneumatic passageways in pneumatic communication with one of the pump or valve chambers; a second header including a plurality of second pneumatic passageways and a plurality of second tubing connections, each second tubing connection configured to place one of the second pneumatic passageways in pneumatic communication with a pressure transducer; a plurality of electrically actuated pneumatic valves; and a plate defining a plurality of pneumatic apertures, each pneumatic aperture in pneumatic communication with one of the plurality of the first pneumatic passageways of the first header and one of the plurality of electrically actuated pneumatic valves. 23. A medical fluid pneumatic manifold system comprising: a plurality of pump and valve chambers for controlling a flow of medical fluid; a plurality of tubing connections and a plurality of pneumatic tubes connected to the tubing connections, the pneumatic tubes in pneumatic communication with the pump or valve chambers; a plurality of electrically actuated pneumatic valves; and a plate defining a plurality of pneumatic apertures, each aperture in pneumatic communication with one of the electrically actuated pneumatic valves, and wherein the pneumatic tubes and the electrically actuated pneumatic valves extend from a same side of the plate. 24. The medical fluid pneumatic manifold system of claim 23 , wherein an underside of the plate defines internal pneumatic passageways in fluid communication with the pneumatic apertures.
