A method and system for planting one of a plurality of seed types, hybrids and/or varieties is provided. A planter is provided with a plurality of row units. The row units include dynamic metering systems, which can include multiple seed meters at a particular row unit. The metering systems including more than one seed meters are configured such that the seed meters will plant a different seed types or varieties. The operation of one or more of the seed meters at a time will provide for the planting of a particular seed variety. When the invention provides for on-the-go changing of a seed being planted by changing the operation of one or more of the seed meters at each of the row units and provides for almost infinite variation among the row units for planting particular seed varieties or not planting at all.

What is claimed is: 1. A row unit for use with an agricultural implement, comprising: a plurality of seed meters with a seed disc and a seed exit, each of said plurality of seed meters configured to receive a separate seed variety; an electric drive motor operatively connected to each of the plurality of seed meters for selectively operating said disc within said meter; and a seed to ground system for directing seed from the meters to the ground; said plurality of seed meters configured to move such that one of the plurality of seed meters associated with a particular seed variety will be aligned with the seed to ground system at a time; and said electric drive motors operatively attached to a respective seed meter such that the motor for each seed meter moves with meter during alignment with the seed to ground system. 2. The row unit of claim 1 , further comprising a dynamic system operatively attached to the plurality of row units to move the row units such that one of the row units is substantially aligned with the seed to ground system. 3. The row unit of claim 2 , wherein the dynamic system comprises an actuator and an intelligent control. 4. The row unit of claim 3 , wherein the intelligent control comprises a location device and is configured to operate the actuator to align one of said plurality of seed meters substantially in line with the seed to ground system according to the location of the implement in a field. 5. The row unit of claim 4 , wherein the seed to ground system comprises a seed tube. 6. The row unit of claim 5 , wherein the plurality of seed meters comprises a first and second seed meter that can be selectively aligned with the seed tube. 7. The row unit of claim 6 , wherein the seed exits of the first and second seed meters comprise seed chutes extending substantially downward when aligned with the seed tube. 8. The row unit of claim 1 , wherein the seed meters are configured to be rotated about a substantially horizontal axis. 9. The row unit of claim 1 , wherein the seed meters are configured to be rotated about a substantially vertical axis. 10. The row unit of claim 1 , wherein the seed meters are configured to be translated in a substantially forward and rearward manner relative to the direction of travel of the implement. 11. The row unit of claim 1 , wherein the seed meters are configured to be translated in a substantially side to side manner relative to the direction of travel of the implement. 12. A method of applying at least one of two or more agricultural products to a field, the method comprising: providing an agricultural implement including a plurality of row units each having a plurality of seed meters; planting at least one of the agricultural products as the implement moves through the field; determining an updated location of the implement in the field; and based on the updated location of the implement in the field, selectively aligning one of the plurality of seed meters with a seed to ground system of the row unit to selectively plant one of the agricultural products; wherein each of the plurality of seed meters at each of the row units is independently driven by an electric motor. 13. The method of claim 12 , wherein the step of selectively aligning one of the plurality of seed meters comprises moving the seed meters such that the selected seed meter is substantially aligned with the seed to ground system. 14. The method of claim 13 , further comprising rotating the plurality of seed meters to align at least one with the seed to ground system. 15. The method of claim 13 , further comprising translating the plurality of seed meters to align at least one with the seed to ground system. 16. An agricultural planter for planting a variety of seed in a field and capable of switching the variety of seed being planted as the planter travels through the field, the planter comprising: a plurality of seed tanks for providing different varieties of seed; a plurality of row units, each of said row units comprising: a. a plurality of seed meters with a seed disc and a seed exit, each of said plurality of seed meters configured to receive a separate seed variety via a hose connected to one of the plurality of seed tanks, wherein each of said meters is in dedicated connection to a seed tank with a variety of seed; b. an electric drive motor operatively connected to each of the plurality of seed meters for selectively operating said disc within said meter, and c. a seed to ground system for directing seed from the meters to the ground; d. said plurality of seed meters configured to move such that one of the plurality of seed meters associated with a particular seed variety will be aligned with the seed to ground system at a time; and wherein the different varieties of seed are delivered to the plurality of seed meters of the plurality of row units such that one of the varieties of seed can be planted by one of the seed meters as the planter moves through the field; and said electric drive motors operatively attached to a respective seed meter such that the motor for each seed meter moves with meter during alignment with the seed to ground system. 17. The agricultural planter of claim 16 , wherein the seed to ground system comprises a single seed tube. 18. The agricultural planter of claim 17 , wherein each of the plurality of seed meters further comprises a seed chute, and wherein the single seed tube is positioned below at least one of the plurality of seed meters for delivering seed to the ground. 19. The agricultural planter of claim 18 , wherein the seed meters are translated to substantially align at least one seed meter with the seed tube. 20. The agricultural planter of claim 18 , wherein the seed meters are rotated to substantially align at least one seed meter with the seed tube.
