The invention claimed is: 1. Shading device for an architectural opening, comprising: a shade; a drive unit for extending and retracting the shade between a first end position and a second end position; a spindle; a first end stop stationarily connected to the spindle near a first end of the spindle; a first travelling nut movably arranged on the spindle and operatively connected to the drive unit so as to move towards or away from the first end stop as the shade is extended or retracted, respectively, the first travelling nut including at least two segments detachably connectable to each other at one of their ends and hingedly connected to each other at their other end; and complimentary formations formed integrally with the at least two segments for detachably connecting the at least two segments together. 2. Shading device according to claim 1 , wherein the at least two segments are integrally connected to each other via a living hinge. 3. Shading device according to claim 1 , wherein the at least two segments are detachably connectable to each other by a snap connection. 4. Shading device according to claim 3 , wherein the snap connection includes a first joint element and a second joint element, which include the complementary formations for engagement with each other, the first joint element including a snap-on catch assigned to a first half of the first travelling nut and the second joint element including a recess, complementarily formed to the snap-on catch and assigned to a second half of the first travelling nut. 5. Shading device according claim 1 , further comprising a winding core for receiving wound layers of a flexible element during extending and retracting of the shade. 6. Shading device according to claim 5 , wherein the winding core includes an inner surface defining an inner cavity, and wherein the spindle is disposed within the inner cavity. 7. Shading device according to claim 6 , wherein the first travelling nut comprises at least one engaging element on an outer circumference of the first travelling nut for engagement with a complementary element on the inner surface of the winding core. 8. Shading device according to claim 7 , wherein the first travelling nut comprises several engaging elements equidistantly distributed over the circumference of the first travelling nut. 9. Shading device according to claim 7 , wherein the engaging element of the first travelling nut is formed as a groove and the complementary element on the inner surface of the winding core is formed as a bar extending parallel to a longitudinal alignment of the winding core. 10. Shading device according to claim 1 , further comprising a second end stop stationarily connected to the spindle near a second end of the spindle. 11. Shading device according to claim 10 , wherein the first travelling nut is movably arranged on the spindle between the first and second end stops, wherein the first travelling nut by interacting with the first end stop sets the first end position of the shade and the first travelling nut by interacting with the second end stop sets the second end position of the shade. 12. Shading device according to claim 10 , further comprising a second travelling nut movably arranged on the spindle between the first and second end stops, wherein the first travelling nut by interacting with the first end stop sets an upper end position of the shade and the second travelling nut by interacting with the second end stop sets a lower end position of the shade. 13. Shading device according to claim 12 , wherein the second travelling nut includes at least two segments detachably connectable to each other at one of their ends and hingedly connected to each other at their other end. 14. Shading device according to claim 1 , wherein the first end stop is inseparably connected to the spindle. 15. Shading device according to claim 10 , wherein the second end stop is inseparably connected to the spindle. 16. Shading device according to claim 10 , wherein the length of the spindle between the first end stop and the second end stop is predetermined and unalterable. 17. Shading device according to claim 1 , wherein the spindle, the first end stop, and the first travelling nut form an end stop assembly which is connectable to a stationary rod. 18. Shading device according to claim 17 , wherein the end stop assembly is formed as a module in a modular system for connection to one of the following modules: the stationary rod, a counterbalance unit, and/or the drive unit. 19. Shading device according to claim 10 , wherein the first end stop and/or the second end stop include an end stop connector for connecting with a component separate from the spindle. 20. Shading device according to claim 6 , wherein an end piece is arranged at an end of the inner cavity of the winding core for mounting the winding core to a holding element for mounting to a building structure. 21. Shading device according to claim 20 , wherein the end piece and the holding element include correspondingly designed fixing elements for realizing a non-rotatable connection of the end piece to the holding element. 22. Shading device according to claim 21 , wherein the connection of the end piece to the holding element causes the spindle to be non-rotatably mounted to the holding element. 23. Shading device according to claim 22 , wherein a bearing is assigned to the end piece for rotational movement of the winding core around the non-rotating end piece and the non-rotating spindle. 24. Shading device according to claim 20 , wherein the end piece is connectable to the holding element in any one of several different orientations of the end piece relative to the holding element and the end piece and the holding element include several correspondingly designed fixing elements and/or fixing means equidistantly and coaxially distributed around a longitudinal axis of the winding core defining several discrete and equally distanced holding positions of the end piece in interaction with the holding element. 25.
